People still play quake 3 online... well, quake live, but still the same game!

Those numbers someone posted earlier, those were pretty large, I mean, probably not as much as the console gamings numbers, but still pretty big, I would not want to loose out on all of those peoples money if I were a developer...

And also, don't know for sure, bur those numbers are active players right? Meaning that there is probably double that offline right now that haven't been able to play today.

I would love to see Valve's reaction this, I can just imagine Gabe Newell waking up to his morning donuts and coffee (5 sugars) and checking out the latest news in the games industry on his laptop, and then spitting his coffee out all over the place when he sees that quote.

As much as I agree with this being a baited comment trying to rile Pc gamers, from the game industries perspective, its kinda true- 3% of copies of MW2 in its opening weekend were sold on the Pc, thats a fairly insignificant chunk of revenue as far as they are concerned, Earlier figues posted showing that 66k people playing MW2 on steam right now? Both Reach and MW2 numbers are in the 200-300k numbers pretty much every day just on 360. So yeah, the argument isnt that FPS are better on the PC (They are btw) its that there isnt as big an audience to make them viable to develop. Im a PC gamer as well as console gamer, but when the PC community gets butthurt over developers favouring consoles, then either dosnt buy/pirates games its only hurts thier own position.

Oh I beg to differ.

And will continue begging to differ until the cows come home and play Halo on the 360.

PC gaming is my preferred choice, unfortunately my (shitty) PC just died, and my parents cannot afford a replacement so I'm stuck with XBOX. 'sigh'... nah I still got MW2, and I have simple needs =D

As much as I would like you to be right. You are wrong.

The Zero Punctuation group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Zero-Punctuation-Fans] is largest with over 1500 members.
Ok. Largest group not set up by the Escapist.

and your TARDIS Crew seems to be the biggest TV show fan group; with my Stargate one second.

Alright... I'm not a FPSer, at ALL.

That said the occasional FPS that catches my interest (the HLs and BioShocks) will be played (by me) ONLY on the PC. I suck at them enough as is, so I don't need the dual-stick handicap in addition to my own ineptitude.

This man is quite the fool if he truly believes that.

Also I will never see/play an FPS that uses Kinect so he doesn't really have any sway over me through his opinions.

Successful troll is successful?

No, wait, this guy's just a complete dipshit. My bad guys, bit of optimism clouding my sight. Hurray for further alienating your customers!

Really? I thought your Stargate group (of which I am a member ;)) was larger. Oh well.
