The TF2 PC group is the biggest user group on this site.
As much as I would like you to be right. You are wrong.

The Zero Punctuation group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Zero-Punctuation-Fans] is largest with over 1500 members.
Ok. Largest group not set up by the Escapist.

and your TARDIS Crew seems to be the biggest TV show fan group; with my Stargate one second.
Really? I thought your Stargate group (of which I am a member ;)) was larger. Oh well.

*strokes ego*
Yeah. Well the Avatar Store is bigger.

microsoft does not make shooters for the pc anymore, hence we do not buy them anymore. does this guy have any fing clue what some of the best selling shooters made by other companies sell on the pc? nevermind there are many of us that hate to play fps on the console cause they are often awful compared to greats like quake 2 and 3 and unreal up to the time they landed on console. oh and we pc gamers have had shooters since before consoles were even invented maybe we just have slightly higher standards than your average teen to 20 something kid.

Yeah, nobody plays FPS games on the PC.

These days it's all about RPGs on the PC. We're done with shooters, consoles can have those baby games. Except TF2. Those dirty console peasants will never know the true glory of the TF2 updates.

When Microsoft says "hardly anyone," what they mean is "not enough people for us to market toward to make a profit."

Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda says "hardly anyone" plays shooters on the PC anymore because Halo [http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Reach-Xbox-360/dp/B002BSA20M/ref=sr_1_1?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285002869&sr=8-1] did such a great job of making the genre "all about the console."
I can't even think of a metaphor, video or picture to explain how misinformed, out of touch and plainly stupid this is.

Who is this guy and why should anyone care about what he says?

Seriously though, I'm not a big PC gamer (mostly because I can't keep up with maintaining the hardware), but I can understand it's not for me to comment about, let alone make back-handed comments.

Yeah, because Microsoft (as quite a clever move, I might add) bought Bungie out and made Halo an Xbox exclusive when it was SUPPOSED to be developed for the PC AND MAC.

Let's face it, Kincect Guy; Halo is the only reason you're getting the chance to run your fat, stupid mouth at us, because if not for Halo (which was the most anticipated FPS of the 2000's) nobody would have even bought a fucking Xbox. If not for Halo 3, nobody would have bought an X360 either. If Halo had continued to be a PC gaming franchise, your stupid buggy console and its gimmicky POS peripheral that nobody wants would not exist.

You think people wouldn't be playing Halo 3, ODST, and Reach on the PC? Those games would be awesome on the PC! It's not that PC FPS's are dead, its that one of the best FPS franchises is being held as an X360 exclusive. If those three games were also on the PC, nobody would want to play Halo on an X360, and your consoles would have tanked so hard they'd have gone the way of the Apple Pippin.

No he's completely right. Just look at CoD4, you only find like 20000 servers anymore. That's not very many right? sarcasm/

This coming from a man employed by the same company of whom a German rep declared that if Halo 3 were to release on PC and Xbox at the same time, 70% of sales would be on the PC in Germany.

I had that statement in my signature for years on a forum.

But he may be right, I mean, Modern Warfare 2 sold more on consoles than on PC. And since to a company sales=people who play games, and not a person more, he is right.
Also, how many millions of unauthorized users did Epic Games find trying to access legit UT3 servers at launch were there?

If i'm not mistaken, I spent many an hour playing it right here on my PC.
