If we're talking a quick kiss, I don't overly care so long as they don't go overboard. But if we get into making out or something, they (any kind of couple (gay or straight)) should probably go somewhere more private. It's rude, distracting, and obnoxious (in most venues).

I don't care who or how far they are going, I just keep looking straight forward.

I don't like kissing as it is, I really don't like watching anybody kiss. Pecks on the cheek/forehead are one thing but, full on making out is disgusting.

I think it maybe a hygiene thing. Where people have been and what illnesses they may have just start going through my head.

Snogging in public is kind of irritating to me. What annoys me though is how if I told a straight couple in the park to not get so intimate in a public place it'd be fine, if I said the same thing to a homosexual couple then I'm apparently a homophobe. Guys, there's a difference between equal rights and what you're doing. Equal rights is me not giving a shit about what colour your skin is, what sexual organ you own, or who you like to do it with.

No, I don't really care about if I happen to see people kissing. Though two guys gets a little uncomfortable after about half a second. Not that I would stare at people kissing anyway.

This is the best opportunity to tell this story, so I'm totally going to. A couple weekends ago, I was at my local mall with my friends, two of whom are a lesbian couple. So we're sitting outside, waiting for a ride to show up (none of us have bothered to learn how to drive yet...) and, of course, my lesbian friends get the usual stares and looks. There were a lot of black people at the mall, the majority of whom tended to actually say things when they passed us. The whities just did the look, which honestly I think is even more rude than saying shit. At least the black reactions were kind of funny. But that's just me. Anyway, this one black lady passes us, sees one of my lesbian friends sitting in the lap of the other, and she goes, "What the hell..?" At that moment, my friend gets the most brilliant idea in the world and kisses her girlfriend. Said black lady's reaction went something like this...
Only, y'know, black.
And then she ran away.

It was pretty hilarious, actually. Instant in-joke.

I'm perfectly fine with it, except in the odd situation when I know them both very well and they happen to be making out in a close proximity to my face. That's not fun.

Two girls I know (One of whom I quite like but CAN'T ASK OUT) are Bisexual.

Funnily enough, I don't mind if they indulge in a bit of casual Lesbianism.

Before I get flamed by feminists, I do also have a male bisexual friend, and I have definitely seen him indulge that particular fancy (Details NSFW).

EDIT: Yay 400 posts :)

Whether it annoys me or not depends on the context, but generally the couple's sexuality doesn't play into it.

Public displays of affection are perfectly fine by me, so long as it's not dry humping. That's just distasteful.

I don't normally have any kind of problem. However there was this one time when I was trying to watch a play of a couple in their 50's were kissing/feeling each other up in the seats next to me. I think it's understandable to have a problem on that particular occasion.

I don't give a damn about others showing affection. It's showing affection. That, and I do it myself.

No problems with people doing what they will here, they're is one situation that does... distract me. I just can't look away when I see two attractive women kissing.

Funny story, that is actually how I met my friend Sarah, she was making out in the park with her GF, some VERY heavy 'petting'. I starred for a while then before I realized it I had walked up to them and introduced myself. Said something along the lines of "It's hard to walk through the park with you two goddesses diverting my blood." Sarah started laughing her ass off.

We were close for a few years during college then she moved back home. I have to say a Lesbian makes the BEST wing man. Still sad she isn't interested in men because she is awesome. Very attractive, great since of humor, and a total nerd. We did make out once, we were both really drunk on struck out at the club, but she didn't even want to try being with a man once.

My friends, Sarah included, still give me a hard time for being in love with a lesbian. She used to change in front of me before we went out then point and laugh when I got an erection... just plain insensitive, but the price I pay for the show. Now days we just email, and play xbox together, Damn I love her.

What was the topic again, oh ya, love who you will, I only ask that you keep the petting to a minimum in public no matter what your orientation. No one wants to be the cause of a traffic accident. It's endearing to see people who love each other show affection.

Same thing with women who breast feed, or go "top free" in public, I don't have a problem with it but don't complain if I stare when your not bothering to cover your self.

I guess I can't really be mad at people that kiss and make out in the street I mean I have had sex in the middle of a park in the middle of the day with people all around so yeah I have no room to talk.

Well, I kiss my GF in public, so I guess I can't complain. I don't particularly like it when anyone kiss, but I don't mind it, I can just look somewhere else.

Regardless of similar sexual orientation or completely different, it would probably bother me. But I imagine it depends on the degree of affection being shown.

For me, when kissing jumps into tongue territory, that's probably where it would bother me. A lot. But then, I'm a complete and total prude I've suddenly realized and that doesn't bother me a bit.

I only dislike public affection because it seems a little awkward. Like two people are having an intimate moment and you're just kind of standing there like "so... you got your tongue down that dude's throat... yeah". I mean, it's weird if you stop to look but it also seems weird to instantly look in the opposite direction. I just don't know what to do in a situation like that. But I digress, it doesn't make a difference to me what the orientation of the couple is except for if I see a gay couple then I'm usually like "oh cool, a gay couple, don't see quite so many of them around... LOOK AWAY! LOOK AWAY! No, that's weird, LOOK BACK! LOOK BACK! Fuck, they've seen me, RUN!!!"

MasterOfWorlds, do you ever make topics that aren't about homosexuality? I swear it's all you ever talk about. You're gay, we get it already!
