I agree with Poncho, if COD wants to start charging me money to play their games, I'll jump ship. If they can convince me that they will consistently release new content every three months and remove bugs and keep it to where people can't glitch kill in one out of three games than...maybe

In all fairness, if you make a game that people will play for thousands of hours, yet see it sold for the same price as games that are only being played for 20 hours, you're going to feel a little hard-done-by.

On the upside - after that, shooting the guy won't get you more than a couple of hours of community service...

Call of Duty, we salute your passing. You will be missed.

So, Respawn studios announced any near-future shooters yet?

seems like the headline is more sensational than what he said. I have no horse in the race, but I wouldn't take this as the beginning of the end just yet.

I lol'd.

A bit off topic, but so many people decide to clamour to Battlefield Bad Company and other such games, but has anyone had a look at TF2? Free, constant, updates more than 2 years after its release, a low price, no subscriptions or anything and they even add in community made stuff. Its an amazing game.

I want to play the PC version. But I already have it on the PS3. I would get it on the PC but after I learned that steam is coming to PS3, I don't know if I should get it now or wait and see what happens.

I mean, did Activision hire their marketing department too?

if Kotick's new "Sith Lord" image sticks then...

Yeah Bobby, we've been "Clamoring" to pay extra on the possibility that you might improve the game. Did you think firing most of the developing team would give them a good ability to improve. Also what happened to the Millions you got from MW2 as well as all the other franchises you own. Yeah, fuck this guy.

Sure, people just love to pay more money for a previously free franchise. Good that i have never been really interested in CoD

It would be interesting to see if they make COD a open world game. But I'm not paying 15$ a month for a game that I have to pay to play with xbox live.

I enjoy playing the COD games casually. The keyword being casually. I wouldn't bother paying a monthly subscription to play it casually.

The only saving grace would be if the standard of MP improved dramatically i.e we pay them, they develop the MP, add more content, free maps, dedicated servers, being able to choose favourite maps/de-select maps you don't want to play etc.

Only then could it be argued worthy to pay a subscription.

However, what I said should be a ruddy feckin' standard in a MP game!

Most PC FPS' have that flexibility and development into them already and it doesn't require a subscription.

This guy can go shove CoD up his ass if he does this. Right after he comes down from what ever drug he's on and the lobotomy he obviously received is reversed.

Retarded CEO is retarded.

This guy makes Greed looks like a wimp. Unless of course, it's a full fledged CoD MMO, with real invasion of countries, PMCs running amok, real progression >.> Too bad that ain't happening.
This guy has the right idea...

CoD, CoD2, CoD:MW - I have been playing each of these games multiplayer continuously for years. the costs has been steadily rising and the quality detoriorating imo. MW2 is the first game I've pretty much stopped playing as multiplayer - thanks to stiff competition from BFBC2.

I nearly WANT kostick to do this just so I can see the whole thing crash and burn.
