yeah, zoeys hotter... that's basically it.

also the trailer for l4d 1 was more humanising, so I guess we can empathise better with her.

Zoey hums Final Fantasy music when she's nervous. .

.....what? I've never heard this in the game. I've heard her hum, but not hum anything from Final Fantasy. I'm pretty sure it's just random humming. Rochelle does the same thing.
I'm trying to figure out if or when that happens, I think I need proof. The only bit of dialogue I remember pertaining to a game was Louis when he picks up a carbine and says "this is just like that video game, Counter-Strike!" ( O_O Que? ).

I do also think you make a good point, Kraken. Original survivors had two weeks together before we found them, while the L4D2 survivors just met.

Zoey is a nerd girl: Confirmed! Now you know why gamers are so in love with her.
You mean the 95% of gamers who never knew that?

I liked Rochelle a little less after what she said to Ellis after Coach reads a CEDA notice.

Coach: "report the sick.."
Ellis: "Report the sick?"
Rochelle: "They don't mean in the head Ellis, they're talking about the zombies." Something along those lines.

You *****. At times, Nick was nicer than that.

But I don't not choose her. If she can kill zombies and quote Anchorman, which I recently discovered she could, she can be alright to play.

well, the L4D series was never famous for their storys and all characters are the same with different skins so the only difference is their looks and 10 second back story, and zoey is more attractive and a college girl.

PS: i am not a racist.

I don't think any video describes the cast as well as this one:

But I can't help it, I love older people and Mafia guys in games, which is why I'm always Bill. But now, I honestly can't tell if I want to play as Coach, Ellis, or Nick.

Oops, sidetracked for a minute.
To tell the truth, Zoey is better because she's not fugly and tells a few funny jokes.

Honestly, I like Rochelle a lot more simply because of her shirt. Depeche Mode is an awesome band. I gotta say, though, Zoey is a lot easier to relate to.

Also, slight tangent, Nick sort of reminded me of Westen from Burn Notice. Please tell me I'm not the only one to have noticed this.

People find zoey more attractive. That's what I gather.
This, basically.

Also, fans are a stubborn people. No matter what they get, they'll never be happy and insist that the original is better.
But it's generally agreed that Nick, Coach, and Ellis are superior to Louis, Francis, and Bill.

Maybe because she has a personality.

Plus, between Nick, Coach and Ellis, there really weren't any juicy lines left for Rochelle. Maybe she'll get some new ones in The Passing, but who knows.

Rochelle talks a lot less and she has less backstory, that is to say a less interesting backstory.
Zoey was the nerdy chick who went to college and watched zombie movies which is honestly the type of person who plays L4D (me included). Rochelle is... a journalist. That's all we get.
That's really the only reason I can see for why Zoey is preferrable over Rochelle.

I personally don't see Rochelle as much of a character. Zoey would say stuff and define her. Rochelle either repeats everything the other characters say or says nothing at all. She is like a robot.

Zory has more of a character and "soul" to her.

let's look at it like this.

Ellis and Francis are the comedy relief. They always have stories to tell and react to everything to lighten the mood in a way. Ellis' "I love everything" to Francis' "I hate everything except vests"

Coach and Bill are the old vets in a way. They are like the old school of the group and have some experience somewhere. They could even be the voice of reason that keep the others in check so they don't lose it.

Louis and Nick are the "smart" guys of the group, but opposite. Nick is the like the con-man. Intelligent streetwise. Louis is the "business man executive." Both intelligent and say things that need to be said. They are also the ones to "keep it real" so to speak.

Zoey is the "hot chick" of the group, but also has things to say to define her. She is the youngest, but also very determined. she is not stupid but does have a lot to learn from the others. She fits the role at the conscious or the "heart" of the group. She cares about everyone even if they don;t care about each other.

Rochelle tried to be like Zoey, but failed. She is not that attractive and she is not what I call "determined" She is just...there. She is not that "caring?" either as she expresses nothing.

A) I don't like corn-rows.

B) Rochelle is an ugly name. Like Michelle didn't make it to the birth certificate, because she got Roadkilled on the way to the hospital.

C) Zoey is Cortana. And a college student. And a zombie film buff. Is that even a fair combination?
