maybe he will realize disney ruined him in his acting skills and he should retire from acting alltogether, or at least die in the next transformers film

I'll give Shia LaBeouf this... he is capable of admitting his mistakes. I'm not sure if this isn't just a publicity stunt of some kind but at least he is admitting fault, that's something I respect.
Besides for the record, I thought he was alright in Holes so he does have a few redeemable qualities.
Hey, I totally forgot about Holes,/i>! That was a good movie! Come to think of it, he wasn't too bad in that Disney show he was on a while back, either. (I watched it from time to time, I'll admit it.) And I dare say he did the best anyone could do in Transformers. Hmm...could it be possible that he is not an all-together bad actor? Maybe his only problem is that he doesn't challenge himself with his roles, or feel the need to be taken seriously as an actor.

How ironic; as much as I despise Shia LeBeouf's acting, I actually did not find him to be the single worst part of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Besides, if you truly want your intelligence to be sodomized with bamboo dildo, just watch his performances in the Michael Bay travesties he stars in.

The worst part of Indiana Jones 4? Well, that honor belongs to the idiot who thought that digging up the corpse of the Indiana Jones movies and then violating it with spoon was a great idea: George Lucas. Who is out to actively destroy anything he touched just to spite millions of fans in his quest to prove how powerful he is.

I don't really see how it was his fault. It was just a bad film, end of. The best actors in the world can't make a bad script good, it doesn't work that way.

I mean seriously, Aliens?! come on!
Yeah, I know! Religious artifacts and mystic powers, sure!

But ALIENS!? That could never happen! /sarcasm

I have to be the only person I know that liked the film.
Dude, that argument doesn't work. It would be like Godzilla showing up at Minas Tirith. Would it be any more out there than magic and orcs? No, but it would still be incredibly stupid.
How is it stupid and how does my argument not work?

And that is the dumbest example you probably could have thought up, I mean at least Aliens make sense. I'm not saying the story was perfect, but if you can have unexplained mystic powers and such in previous films, why not aliens?

They set it up with the Roswell thing and what not, it's also set in a time period where that sort of story would be suitable. Godzilla at Minas Tirith is a silly example because of the way Godzilla was created, they don't have the means for that in Lord of the Rings.

At least Aliens is credible, or are you one of those people who thinks we're alone in the entire universe?

I also enjoyed the film. Just couldn't get the people who complained about the aliens and even the nuclear explosion proof fridge. You don't really go to see a film like this expecting reality do you?

True it may not have been as good as the previous Indy films, but then again, what film is as good as the one(s) you saw 20 odd years ago?

It wasn't an awful film, but I still hate it for taking a giant fucking dump on the Indianna Jones legacy. However, I don't really think its ALL Shia's fault. Sure he was responsible for some bad acting and the cringe-worthy monkey swinging scene, but to me, it was more ruined by the plot, Lucas being a dick, the liberal use of fake-looking CGI that made the thrills of action scenes go away, and (I'm bitching here) the blasted aliens. I think there might've been a way to make the aliens thing make a little more sense, but it just didn't click.

LaBouef actually isn't that bad. He just chooses bad movies to star in. I think he has a bit of potential, maybe.

Alright, I admit that the Godzilla example was stupid. How about aliens showing up in the middle of LOTR? It would be pefectly credible but amazingly stupid. The other problem with Aliens in Indy was that there was never anything Sci-Fi in the Indy films, just fantasy. Also, just because the plot of THAT movie set it up(time period, Roswell, etc.) doesn't make it good for Indy.
The Aliens didn't make it a bad movie, they just stripped of it's Indiana Jones status. In addition, it wasn't just the aliens that made it bad. The infamous refrigerator scene, Shia Labeouf, the monkey Tarzan thing, the buddy/partner character that we have never met before but they act like he is an old known friend, Brody and his dad being dead, the terrible application of CGI and just an overall badly written script.

P.S. For the record I think that anyone who truly believes we are alone, is foolish, ignorant and close minded.

I could care less about the mediocre acting and them trying to pass the torch to this prick. What ruined it for me was the godawful ideas for the movie, and the even worse application. The gunpowder, the magnets, the shovel, the scorpion...and then there was that atrocious transition from the movies focusing and the almighty powers of some deity to a focus on science so wrong it should be given a solid degree in BULLSHIT. I understand some narrative freedom with science (i.e. Doctor Who), but this was taking so many liberties with fundamental laws that nothing actually held up.

No, no STOP IT SHIA! Before I gain some respect for you!

I did kind of like the movie though. I view it as: should someone get lynched? No. Where there better movies out at the time that deserved the money more? Hell yes.

The main reason I disliked it was the lack of Nazis. Same reason I had issues with Temple of Doom.

He could have done a better job but I think he did well with what he was given. It's much more the fault of the writers and the directors.
