Mortal Kombat. Wanted to bring it to college, and Gamefly kept sending me other games even though MK was on the top of my list for almost a month. Got to say, I love every minute of it, though it gets a bit cheap and frustrating at times.
Almost bought Darksiders today for $20, but showed some restraint. Got some other games to beat first.

well i purchased fable2,fable3,fallout3 goty, far-cry 2,fallout Vegas i got these games cause they are all open world adventure games they cost over all $95 that's great cheap

It turned out to be too brokenly difficult to play on single player. Don't you dare give me the argument that everyone seems to be using to justify this, the "It's meant to be played in multiplayer" bit. If you're going to provide an option to play alone, you need to make sure that the dificulty is such that the player is challenged without being clusterfucked repeatedly after spawning.

L4D2, Medal of Honor, Torchlight, The Sims 3... all from the steam sale during the last couple days.
I usually rent or wait until prices drop, due to being disappointed by paying full price for <10 hours of actual gameplay. That said, the last game I bought was L.A. Noire, because I wanted to support the developer for doing something a little bit different.
I believe it was Torchlight, and because it was 3 bucks.
