Picked up Halo: Reach yesterday. It's one of the only meatheaded shooters I really love. Co-operative Firefight is the best thing ever.

Tropico 3 Gold Edition off Steam. I had Tropico 3 already but stores never stocked the expansion where I live so never was able to get a physical copy. I try to buy what games I can as a physical copy.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. I loved the first one and this one hasn't disappointed me yet.

I can't actually remember I've bought that many in the Steam Sales I can't remember the last one I thought OOO I need to buy that. I'm just going to say the last one I played out of the new ones I've purchased:

DragonAge Origins: Ultimate Edition

So I can finally understand what all my RP friends love about this game.
Just some advice. If you ever feel like the combat is too auto-attacky and doesn't offer the fluidity of real-time combat, try making a strength mage shapeshifter. If you look it up on google there should be a guide for it by Tonberry. And if you look up spells that don't sheathe your weapon, and pick from them, then you get the perfect balance for combat. The forms offer variability for the combat (tanking, DPS, healing, more attacks, general bear-iness), the spells that don't sheathe your weapon mean you can also be a proper fighter (and things like earthquake properly complement your forms), the wide range of abilities makes it feel less auto-attacky, the lack of dangerous AoE attacks means it is functional on hard difficulty (if you play it right) because unlike other mage builds where you have to be careful not to kill your allies with that fireball, the worst you will do is knock them down with earthquake, which is easily fixed by having them as archers or Shale (I don't think Shale gets knocked down, and he can't be picked up by ogres and dragons).

Wow, wall o' text. My bad.

OT: Infamous 2. Because I'm too poor to buy other new games.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Fantastic title (EDF! EDF! EDF!), loads of fun being had with it.

The whole Dawn of War 2 package: OG and 2 expansions (Chaos Rising, Retribution).
A friend gifted me the Retribution: Last Stand (stand-alone version) and I got hooked.
I forgot how much I love the "grim darkness" of the whole WH40K universe.
Didn't even know it existed until I played the original Dawn of War at a LAN party.

But this time, I just got so into I even went out to find a hobby store that sold WH40k and started building an army so I could play the table top game.

So I guess my last few games (be it a PC game or something to play IRL) have all been Warhammer related.

In the past 24 hours or so I've bought:

- Planescape: Torment (GoG)
- Medieval 2: Total War
- Portal 2 (Steam)
- Star Wars: Republic Commando (Steam)
- Star Wars: Empire at War (Steam)

Mostly because of this forum.

Portal 2, on the summer sale.

Now I just have to restrain myself from playing it until I'm done writing my bachelor's thesis.
26 more pages to go... *sigh*

And to add to my list 3 posts up, I just bought Hitman 2 and Hitman: Blood Money for $2.50 each in the Steam sale. Couldn't resist.

Mass Effect Pack (Mass Effect 1 & Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition).

The reason is because it was on sale for around 25% off, and buying both games in a pack actually costed less then buying the Deluxe Edition.

Empire total war and Napoleon total war:

Because I enjoyed medieval 2, because they get good reviews, and because they were super cheap in the steam sale.

The last was Diablo 2 because I wanted to mule items more safely online. The one before that was Neverwinter Nights 2, because I was looking forward to the new design features. Unfortunately, my poor old P4-2.5GHz isn't up to the task unless I turn every slider for graphics to minimum.
