Whenever this gets updated I get the urge to play.

So far I've made a sleeping place and a few workshops. That took a few hours...
But I'm not fighting with the interface like I was the first time I tried it, since then I've played a load of roguelikes so the controls actually feel quite homely instead of awkward and alien.

This is enjoyable, keep it up! I'll have to read the whole of it at some point, only catch the latest bits when I'm online then bugger off and play for myself.

Someone else has done it before, but anyway, the thread and its glory persuaded me to register on the forum. This is a brilliant Lets Play and brought me back to Dwarf Fortress a couple months ago. Still very new and very susceptible to a goblin ambush squad of crossbowmen annihilating my poor dwarves. ;_;

Could I put my name down for dorfing as well?

Similar to Frozen_Flame and some others, I registered an account because of this thread. I'd like to register a dwarf under the name "Fletch". Preferably a crossbowmen or at least a guy making the bolts but I'll take anything. Coincidentally, I found DF about a week before I found this thread so this was pretty helpful while I was learning how to do things

I love your creature mod, kraken. I just got attacked by zombie lesser krakens, and my dabbling hammerdwarf with no armour on wipes out the ENTIRE 'herd' of them (about 7)

Btw, I'm enjoying this written form of a Lets Play. I never actually though it could be done. but were 43 pages in and still going strong.

Thank you for the clarification, stopped using up/down stair cases after loosing several fortresses to idiots not being able to use them.
