You can't do anything with barrels of blood. It's extremely hard to destroy them without loosing the blood, so I doubt Kraken will manage to make an armor with those.

I just have to say that this is simply an amazing let's play! I found it on the front page around chapter 15 and I've been checking the thread around 3 times a week ever since.

Btw, I'm enjoying this written form of a Lets Play. I never actually though it could be done. but were 43 pages in and still going strong.

If you're surprised about a written Let's Play working I'd have to wonder why. A ton of great Let's Plays come in text format. A lot of games translate incredibly poorly into video.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Just a note to the people who are being redwarfed; I made the decision to put you on lower priority than all new people. I know, it's annoying but I figured it was only fair to give the people who haven't gotten a chance to die yet one before letting you back in. You're still on it though, just further down.

Yeah as mentioned above barrels of blood are useless becuase there's almost no way to remove a liquid from a barrel. Despite the complexity of DF being able to pour liquids is actually one of the things you can't do. Otherwise you'd see things like moats of blood and boiling oil.

It's a simple answer really, having learned of Lets plays through YouTube and nowhere else the thought hadn't occured to me to search out any other form of the thing. Albiet having read moments of gameplay written out in reviews and press releases I really should have made the connection that a written lets play is possible.

But as my surprise shows, I hadn't done that until reading through this topic. Which makes me want to go out and find the other text format LPs there are.

You know I'm honestly surprised that Stinthad hasn't developed a closer relationship with another dwarf considering she spends a ton of time socializing and is basically friends with everyone. Though you might not think it those personality values do actually influence the way each dwarf acts, so I'm guessing something about Stinthad keeps her from falling love. Not sure what. to be honest.

To be perfectly blunt, the vast majority of Youtube Let's Plays are, well, awful. That's not to say that there are no good LPs on Youtube, but you have to wade through the endless sea of idiots playing mario rom hacks. The best LPs tend to come from Something Awful [http://forums.somethingawful.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=191]. People there make amazing LPs in both video and text format that make mine look like crap by comparison. If you enjoy LP you really do owe it yourself to register on the forum if only for the LP section. It's worth the 10 dollar investment.

I'm reminded of Yahtzee's video for when he got brought onto the Escapist.

Also to be honest I've never really waded through the LPs on YouTube but instead I was introduced to it by a couple threads I saw on here usually titled "Best LPer on YouTube" which have gotten me intrested in and entertained by various LPers that are generally regarded as good, and they are.

However I'm not above looking for new content and somethingawful if you reccomend it sounds perfectly find, now I just need to find a way to beg up $10...
