Well Lionhead, how about this? release the freaking game on PC already and I'll give you a comprehensive review... how about that?
I second this
I'm going to go ahead and be in favor of this as well. I was all for buying Fable 2 when it released on pc... and it never happened. What's this? Fable 3 is going to be on pc? Well I didn't get to play the second one, but it doesn't seem to matter much story wise, so ok yeah I'm on board... You're not going to release that one on pc either huh? That was the end of the series was it? oh well it probably sucked anyway... Now you want people to rate what they found important in the game? What the hell is going on here? Are you done or not? grrr FUCK YOU PETER!

I've played all the Fable games, even got all the DLC for Fable 2 (It was the premium edition and it was on sale...)

I must say it was hard to rank them because several of the factors were important.

I think going the direction of freedom, Character Customization, and more charm/humor could really make the series shine in the future.

I love the dog. He's up there with most important things on my list. Along with the humor and the ability to change worlds. But I have to wonder if the option that says 'being a hero is important" or something to that effect anyways means we might not be a hero in one of the games? Would be an interesting twist to be sure.

Pretty sad to see that which used to personify imaginitive and unique games, making a 4th version of the same blasted game.

Peter, where did the drive that made Populous, Magic Carpet, Dungeon Keeper, Black&White ?

The only thing that will come of this is an even worse casual game.
Fable 1 was a good formula, use that and stop reinventing the wheel.

1. KEEP THE HUMOR FROM THE 3RD GAME. Keep the writers on, and NEVER EVER fire them.
2. Make the next Fable MORE like Fable 1 and less like Fable 2/3. I'm sorry, I didn't like the other 2 as much as the first. I think a vast majority of fans would agree.
3. Make it more open-ended, rather than a bunch of small areas to go to.
4. "Touch Gameplay": Neat idea, fix the bugs.
5. I like the xp system of the 3rd game. Keep it.
6. Instead of making the hero a walking GOD AMONGST MEN, make them more personal. If I don't want to make a spellcaster, then don't force me to cast spells. If I want to make a Melee combat user who is a minor spellcaster, then give us that option.
7. Add 4-player co-op.
8. Don't kick a Fable out of the door before it's ready (very apparent in the last 2).

I recommend limiting the amount of people you can have relationships with. I know that sounds counter productive, but the fact is games developers don't have the time or resources to make every single NPC have their own unique personality, back story, and mannerisms. By limiting the amount of people you can do these things with, you could work instead on making the ones you have as deep and interesting as possible, rather than the shallow and pointless ones we have in large quantities now.

I don't get the 'Be special and Be a hero' option.

As opposed to what, exactly? If I rank this choice lowly, am I saying I want to spend the entirety of Fable as one of the bloody traders or something?

Of course I want to be a hero, who else would I want to be! Why else would someone play Fable? I'm confused and angry!

My inner cynic tells me that this is a promotional gimmick, and that the results are either going to be revealed as "keep doing what your doing" or Peter Molyneux and Lionhead are just going to ignore the results when it comes time from the next game "in the interests of making the best game possible" (as they see it, as opposed to how the fans see it) if they even acknowlege that this survey existed.

But then again I'm still kind of miffed about Bioware's whole stunt with "Hawke" from Dragon Age 2 (ask for feedback, ignore it) and Blizzard's ancient "we make games, not promises" stunt.

1. Make World much more organic, and dynamic. would make exploration more fun
2. Take out quick-travelling. Too much of a temptation and makes the game much shorter
3. Introduce 2 different styles of play. The Fable 2 "light" combat system, and then have a harder, more advanced fighting system in place. Make it so that it can be switched at will, but provide bonus for those that go all the way in hard, (maybe an extra quest or two, a hidden ending, something to keep players coming back). At least bring back the magic!
4. Ensure quests are more qualitative than quantitative. Fable 3 made some progress in this, but I'd rather my quests to be unique and well written, rather then them being scaled up fetch or kill X quests. This includes any relationship quests
5. If you must keep relationships develop them much more. Give them personality, less generic voices, make them personal and reactive to the hero's actions and equipment.
6. Much preffered the visual player changes in the original Fable and Fable 2. Bring back more extreme character changes.
7. Wish the dog would also change with you. Also why not other pets? I'd rather like a cat or a parrot moreso than a dog.
8. Make equipment worthwhile getting! Make "legendary" weapons rare, make normal weapons customisable to a sense (a la Fable 2). Heck maybe borrow the weapon system from Borderlands and then you might get a much better game overall

I'd be incredibly happy if they returned to the original Fable style of play. Everything in Fable II was so shallow and unsatisfying.

they just wont make the game I want to play. I want it to be deep and hard core. Skill trees and advanced combat.

They made things way to easy and simple, bloody casual gamers have ruined this whole experience for me. Who needs one button controls?

I guess I want fable to be a mix of wow, assassins creed, diablo, and morrowind. I want to be able to feel and move like a hulking god tank would. If I can swing a sword the size of a truck in each hand I should be able to get on roof tops. seemed kind of weird to me a god who chooses to walk on the flat roads like a chump.

the survey was terrible. its a "stack these in order of importance to you" without any word on combat or difficulty. I have a dog and dogs are awesome but the fable dog pisses me off so much with the constant barking for dig spots that hold nothing but crap.

I'd rather have my compass back.

Yeah its cute. Performed the survey and it had this odd glitch that if you select something in say Line 8, it deselects and sometimes inputs answers for you in like 10 or the like.

The irony of creating a survey asking what kind of fixes are needed for the next fable that doesnt illustrate their desire to fix fable as much as it illustrates the problem of fable inherent in pushing something out that wasnt properly tested or even in a working state. Yes that makes a lot of sense... Instead of allowing people to vote on independent article priority... instead you get a "rank this in importance 1-13" which makes no sense, because things like the dog, and accessibility and local co-op are all about equal importance as it relates to fable.

I just wanted a comment box on the survey that asked "how would you improve fable?" to which I could reply "See Demon's souls.
