considering there is no major airport on the island and the closest one is vancouver i don't think so.
Actually there is an airport near Victoria called Victoria International. ICAO Code is CYYJ.

I use the ICAO/NATO spelling alphabet daily at work. It just makes it so much easier (and faster) to give people information verbally.

Also, I'm from the US and I say "Zed." Mostly because "zee" sounds too much like "p," "d," and "g."

This video made me want to cringe, because In that situation, I would have just switched over to the spelling alphabet without a second thought.

its zee not zed.
In Queen's English, spoken by us Brits, Australians and Canadians (ie most of the Commonwealth I believe), the letter Z is pronounced 'zed'. It's only you Americans who say 'zee' because you've bastardised the English tongue
Oh PLEASE! don't act so high and mighty! not even the Americans could screw it up much more than it already was! maybe if the brits hadn't made a habit of getting INVADED by everyone all the time it would have been redeemable!
The UK hasn't been invaded for 944 years.
I dunno... I'm pretty sure British airspace was invaded during the Battle of Britain :p
Oh crap yeah that was when Germany occupied Britain. Oh wait...
There is a difference between successfully fending off an invaiSION and being successfully invaiDED :)

We tried to actually get into a real airports Control Tower but for fairly obvious reasons that wasn't going to happen, at which point we started to think of other ways to make it work and still look good. At some point durring that conversation the idea for doing the whole video with images drawn by Kathleen and animated by Graham came up. It's something we haven't really done before so we thought "lets give it a shot". Hopefully you guys like it! Back to real people next week.
Ah, that's what I figured - hard to arrange a set for this video, so you opted for a different approach. I can appreciate that you guys have limitations when it comes to making your videos work, but the animation was a pretty big miss for me. Really not your strong suit. It was still funny, though.

I missed your reactions and crazy antics. While it was nicely drawn, it just didn't have the same feeling as all the other LRR videos. I only assume you guys did this because you didn't have a plane...or a flight control deck...or chances are you had all these things, just not the radio. Whatever the reasons, the jokes were still great, but the animation, not so much.

I really didn't like the "animation" (what little there was) and the drawn style. I really preferred the ones you do involving actual actors. Betterl uck next time.
I think they did this style because they didn't have access to the sets needed. Though, I did enjoy the video. Good job as always, guys.

I really like LRR and I think experimenting with animation is a good idea, but if that's the level of animation and drawing they are capable of - it doesn't really work.

As for the plot - that's the reason they have NATO Phonetic Alphabet.

Seems like a downfall after Toothy Smile Toothpaste, which really made me laugh.
Yeah... I don't think it was a seroius plot hole- just like how baby tigers simply don't have a tooth product in them didn't make toothy bad.

Personally, I disliked Toothy, so just a difference of opinion.

I didn;t like the cartoon format as much as regular videos, but I can see that this video would be nigh on impossible to film otherwise. Good work.

Zee, Zed, who cares?
The Brits don't even pronounce the letter (pronounced "Le'a") 'T' any more, can they really start whinging about ("abou'") people saying 'Zee' instead of 'Zed'

The British ("Bri'ish") need to look in their own back yard before whinging about other countries, I mean, come on, 'T' is their national drink, how long until they are saying:
"Would you like some 'ea and scones"

Two things- the first was that the discussion was started by an American saying zed was incorrect, and the second is that the British do pronounce Ts. It's only specific accents that can make it unclear (I'm assuming you're basing this upon the cockney accent which is an exception rather than a rule, an often played up by Hollywood and the like).
