It's comedy, you should leave logical thinking at the door.

Look at any sketch show with a realistic eye and you are perhaps watching it "wrong".
I realize that, but in this case I just didn't find it very funny.
Maybe it was the delivery, not the plot itself that made it look like it.

Your Flash animation skills are terrible.

A sketch with a set would've been a better idea.

Plus this way, we miss nuances in facial expression, body posture, etc.
Please let this be a single experiment, and let's never talk of it again.

I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before you guys would try to do an animated sketch, and to be honest, considering this was your first animated LRR skit you've ever done (at least to my knowledge), it's not that bad. I think the problem here isn't the script, art or voice acting, it was the animation itself. Now, I understand that you guys have time constraints and several videos to produce each week, so I wouldn't expect a frame-by-frame animation masterpiece. However, since people expect a certain level of quality from you guys, seeing an animated skit that has about as much movement as an episode of Zero Punctuation is a little bit disappointing.

I think that a lot of what makes LRR so great is both your reactions, and your great comedic timing, and neither seemed to be present in this. Also, since something like Game Dogs or Doraleous is considered just above par when it comes to animation on The Escapist, something like this isn't going to do too well. I think it would have made more sense to just hire an actual animator to animate this, that way you would have gotten some great movement and timing along with the fun dialog and art you guys contributed to this.

Maybe I'm over-thinking/overreacting a little, but when certain things about the animation in Doraleous make me cringe, I feel the need to voice my opinion on something like this. I don't think you guys should give up on animation or animated skits entirely, I think it could definitely work, in fact, I'd love to see some LRRtoons, but what you did here was really missing the mark when it came to Loading Ready Run quality.

Animation can be a great medium to deliver comedy in, if you take the time and put a lot of effort into it, and I just didn't see that here, hopefully your next animated adventure (if there is one) is a little better.

Just my two cents.

its zee not zed.
In Queen's English, spoken by us Brits, Australians and Canadians (ie most of the Commonwealth I believe), the letter Z is pronounced 'zed'. It's only you Americans who say 'zee' because you've bastardised the English tongue
Oh PLEASE! don't act so high and mighty! not even the Americans could screw it up much more than it already was! maybe if the brits hadn't made a habit of getting INVADED by everyone all the time it would have been redeemable!
The UK hasn't been invaded for 944 years.
I dunno... I'm pretty sure British airspace was invaded during the Battle of Britain :p
Oh crap yeah that was when Germany occupied Britain. Oh wait...
There is a difference between successfully fending off an invaiSION and being successfully invaiDED :)
Pssshhhh. An awful lot of bombs fell on London. But I do admire the British tenacity in the face of the German war machine.

I'm not much of a fan of animated comics (which is why I never watched Game Dogs.) I actually enjoyed the Superman one ya'll did a long time ago, but maybe thats just because it included Kate, and we need more Kate! But erm...anyway, I figured it was Kathleen that drew the animations and those are nice. The pictures were good and I liked the character design. However, even though I'm a huge fan, I have to admit this was not one of my favorite sketches. It would've been better if you'd had some animation for the speaking, but I can understand if you were at a con that it's difficult to get everything set up. I've seen far worse on the internet though, and I didn't NOT enjoy it,(counts negatives...yeah!) so it's still a win in my book.

We weren't about to let the bally jerry set foot on British soil what what!

*cough*apartfromtheisleofwight*cough*

OT: I liked that, it made me giggle and I doubt they're about to change to animated permanently. That would be a very silly thing to do :)

What if it wasn't an video but an audio file? Would that have made it a better sketch?

I liked the art style, the animations were a bit too sparse though.
I suppose this is one of the cases were even floaty flash style animations would have improved things.
Still, a funny video, and it will be interesting to see how this style will improve if you use it in future videos.

Nothing will ever beat the yarn animations in one of your pre-escapist videos though, and I'd certainly prefer a return of that style.

Zero punctuation doesn't have great animation...
Also,

Bit of previous animation.

The best thing I took from this was that Canadians pronounce Z as Zed, just as the King's English demands!

What about the flying squirrels? [http://www.weebls-stuff.com/songs/Flying+Squirrels/] Keeping Air Traffic Control on their toes is how they roll.

Hmm..maybe. I had no real problem with the content, I found some of it as funny as usual. I'm not really big on animated or online comics so my personal bias might be getting in the way. An audio only version would allow me to make up my own scene, but at the same time I don't think that'd work very well on this site.

I thought it was clever but the animation just wasn't doing it for me. Not having the mouths move was confusing and it seemed a little half-assed.

If you're going to do animation, go all the way with it and do it properly. Facial expressions and body language is a big part of comedy, and it really let you down in this one.

You did the best with what you could though. :)

This was very well worded and I'd just like to say I agree with every point.
