I'm looking for a guy that used to double post as himself and Calumon does anyone kno what became of him?
[sub][sub]NOBODY CARED WHO I WAS UNTIL I HAD THE DIGIMON![/sub][/sub]

I'm still here, as I've said before. I'm always here. I just don't have to say anything. Now, how can I help you?

Calumon: Just don't ask for his tea. :S
I thought you died-glad you didn't!When I lurked, I use to laugh at your posts-the dedication was/is top notch!
Thanks, I appreciate that. I try/tried. I'm always still around, I just don't post as much anymore. Always wish I could but something always stops me.

Calumon: Like moving nearer to late fried food places? :3
You.

You're the first one that always comes to mind in threads like this. Anyway, glad to see you're still around. Keep doing you man, I like 'yer style as The Stranger said to The Dude.

I thought Furburt and some of the other ex-old timers hung out on Mellow Leprechauns?

OT:
I miss Demented Teddy. Always riding the line between bannable post and ok. Always keeping the moderation on their toes.

I think you're right. The tagline for the forum was "Welcome to the Basement", which is where I must be getting mixed up.

That's the site! Also had some current members of this site. It's dead now. People started leaving in bunches and then it just died.

Maybe for a while but it got changed up really frequently for a good portion of the site's life. Sometimes multiple times a day. Too many admins and too few cares to give.

Careful saying his name. It's like Beetlejuice, it can summon him. And if you're on the IRC at the right time of night, you'll actually see him, online and chatting.

Tippy2k2? More like tippyWHOk2? Amiright?!?!

I was thinking the same thing. Would people miss me if I was gone? Well, I'd expect a little curiosity thrown in everyone's direction, at least for the people with more than a couple-thousand posts and and avatar (such as yours) which sticks out from the rest. Because I start to wonder about people who post in the Forum Games for a couple of weeks then fall off the face of the earth.

Haha, yeah, the dedication is admirable, isn't it? I'm constantly switching between my two personas...just so people don't think I'm crazy.

I will always remember animehermit because of how he went out with one of the biggest bangs I've ever seen on these forums (or any for that matter). The phrase "I hope Jim Sterling eats you" will be forever burned into my memory.

Anyway, I tend to forget about people who simply stop using the site (not that I remember very many people anyway).

oh god...do we all

I also remember her particular fetish...I'm not one to judge but...Too much info...

also the amazing thing about Moonlight is her record is sqeaky clean...[i/]and she participated in gender threads
Oh man... the last I remember of Boudica, she was hijacking a thread by defending her position that Hitler was a misunderstood historical personality, and under different circumstances would've been a great leader. Oh, and my favorite part of all threads she was involved with was where she would summon trilligan for assistance who would immediately quote and respond to everyone involved. *sigh*

Also, I remember Mortai Gravesend. Quite a few of the (in)famous personalities all seemed to drop off the face of the earth / were purged within a few months of each other.

I've been a lurker on this site for a veeeery long time. Long before I created this account. So I have subconscious memories of a lot of the escapists. Does anyone remember that guy who had Homer Simpson wallowing in riches? I have only good memories of him, don't remember why he was banned.

Anyone remember Bamba?

They kept making all kinds of poll threads asking various personal questions, for no apparent reason. (One such thread was "What is your preferred method of masturbation?")

People started to question why Bamba wanted to know so much personal information about the users on this site. Some even suggested they might be some sort of information gatherer or survey/statistics analyst.

Then, suddenly, Bamba disappeared, and they haven't been seen on this site since.
(I guess they must've gotten all the information they needed.)
That is ALL kinds of creepy!Hopefully we only helped someones Anthropology project...

Oh, fantastic. Are we going to have to re-strengthen the wards around #escapist again? You know I'm running low on eye of megatoad.

There are quite a few I remember seeing a lot of back in t'day before all these dern kids started messin' up t'lawn. They acquire personal problems, drift away or forget how to internet, and that makes me sad.
Like Ultrajoe, who managed to convince us all that he was actually "Ultrajosephine" via a stand-in at the first-ever Escapism and some trickery; Labyrinth, who was almost as terrifying online as in real life; Beefcakes, who I'm fairly sure just couldn't bring himself to break 1000 posts; Anonymoustache (known to some IRCers as "Tickles") with her... refreshing take on reality; and Greyfox105, who I believe changed her username to something else but I've seen little of over the last year or so.

And then there are others, mainly Escapismers, who I don't see post but see in the real meatspace on occasion. So we haven't exactly lost contact.

[sub][sub]Aaaand that's my one post for the month. Off into the aether with me![/sub][/sub]

Oh! And Neonbob! He was, like, the fucking king of this damn site! He did EVERYTHING around here! Write a review? Check. Be the very first to hit the 10k post mark on this site? Check. User group? N word, you better believe that's a check! Where the hell is he? D:
He's still about, his life just became weird.
He got married.
Had a kid.
Neonbob as a father...scary thought. XD

You have to admit though, his kids are cute.

I can't really say about anyone I miss as the ones I miss I talk to either in texts or twitter or facebook.

Frank_Sinatra_ occasionally is still around I presume when he decides to get himself banned he'll let me know
maxthereaper I talk to on facebook from time to time and still have some old communications in my inbox between he and I but he's been banned for a while now
ummm those are the two I can think of that people might most remember.

Everyone else I can think of has gotten busy with life stuffs.

Donnyp. Doesn't link to a post for why he was banned, which usually implies something off the forums.

Yeah, she changed her name but still posts here on occasion.

OT: The person I probably miss the most is fellow ex-mod/partner-in-crime Sevre. I also kind of miss BonsaiK, but I'm not fond of how he left the site.

I'll still always remember Karutomaru and his Best JRPG ever thread where he and Hazy992 went at it for like 10 pages worth of comments. It saddens me that they don't save these threads somewhere.

...His name was Karutomaru, and he had a profile pic of Fawful from the Mario & Luigi RPG games.
He was banned from Destructoid, banned from the Escapist, and banned from the Destructoid TF2 server.
...And I was his Steam friend. For a while.

........I don't want to talk about it.

As for people from around the Escapist, I don't think I've been around long enough (or at least around the forums) to have any memories about people that may have vanished or were banned. And seeing as how I don't really do much other than watch videos or read articles, I...probably won't be missed, if I left. Still, I do post using my Facebook from time to time, but that's somewhat "separate" from my Escapist account.

The guy I always remember most was RAKtheundead (I've lurked without an account since 2009 ish). With his feelings towards women he'd never have made it through the sea of feminism threads that exist today. I'm quite bitter when it comes to relationships and other people gloating about their happiness, I'll hold my hands up to that, but RAKtheundead, he even made me think "dude, too much".
