I can visualize the game saying: Congrats! You just destroyed explorer.exe! Here's a million points!

I can see the idea behind the game, but who would want to play it? They could just have pitched the idea, and laid it to rest. That would have been just as productive. No point in actually making it.

As much as I love art games, this game just fails at whatever message it's trying to convey. No one is going to voluntarily download what is essentially malware, and as a result no one is going to be discussing any of the things that the artist mentioned in their summary.
That and the point of the game is why we play games in the first place... We play GTA or SR because we are firmly and poignantly aware of real life consequences for our actions. Basically the guy made a dick move, gave it a poofy label, and called it art when he basically shat in a jar for conversational purposes.

Those that wish to challenge my argument are free to tell me how they didn't learn about consequences until they played the game. ;)

"Art game" is now synonymous with "Shitty design," apparently.

People shouldn't be allowed to pass off garbage as some effort to challenge your thinking.
"Our shitty graphics inspire the player to imagine their own world, and create a sense of nostalgia that will make gamers long for the days of the NES" could mean "We can't model 3D characters to save our lives" in this day and age.

My friend had a virus on his computer (it corrupted his anti-virus so it didn't have a start scan button, also his internet drivers were removed), so his solution was to delete every file on the computer. EVERY file on the computer that he has access to. It was quite interesting to watch him go mad, this would have been even more fun though.

The best part about it was, when he restarted the computer, the virus was still there. He had an install disk for XP, so we found a way of formatting the drive and installing XP again.

Yup, it's begun. The cavalcade of art games that will slowly take over the market for the sake of being pretentious. The end is nigh!
Ok, enough doomsaying, but this seems pretty pointless, and given the fact this is gaming, it's done well. Great for a prank though.

You could conceivably play this on someone else's PC for a 'prank'. Cruel and unusual.

OP: Surely this game will be shutdown, is this on the Net?

What a silly idea, makes me think that could be Activisions next dick move

Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 3

Where 1 kill in that game deletes a file of your computer and dying means you have to buy another copy of the game

....Actually maybe I should stop, I might be giving them ideas

Yeah tearing down the system that keeps us floating might sound cool when it's just a game, but when you actually see it happening before your eyes, uh... not so much.

The only people that I would recommend it to are that small group of people who roll with the "A video game made me do it" excuse.

This game could make a great anti-virus if it only had you shoot at virus files it scanned.

also, i would love to put this on my school network and get people to play :p

So the moral I am getting here is that you SHOULD play this on your school's computers, or possibly an acquaintances.

Edit: This shit can't be considered an indy game, or really a game, however these people get an award in my book for being the biggest RL griefers. Although I am sensing an internet meme here of mailing a crazy space invaders clone to all your friends, and then before upon opening the attatchment it sends emails to all your friends... Wait that is a virus, never mind.
