Fuck yes I'm not affected.

For a second I thought I was screwed >.> And for the record, no one deserves to have their account hacked.

When microsoft gets hacked... Is anywhere truly safe anymore?

Enemy of my enemy is my friend, no? If so, friend, would you please stand up? Would you please end this madness and create peace throughout the lands? The bards will sing songs about how you defeated the evil Lulzsec and you will be praised for the rest of your life. Rise hero, rise before it's too late..

In other words, can't a great hacker genious use his/her wisdom to make better internet security, instead of being evil, or doing things for 'the lulz'...

*Changes Passwords* Well that was anticlimactic. Though I'm guessing they get their main source of laughs from people who try and yell at them from their computer. But if that was the case why wouldn't they just make conspiracy videos on youtube?

Well, mines not on that list, but really did'nt these guys start of saying they were doing these things to point to companys the holes in their security, not just being massive douche bags?

Well, is Games for Windows account and XBox Live accounts the same? If so, I might as well change my password.
Yeah it is mate, same service. :-\ The whole "Live" brand (including Live Messenger for example) shares that info.

Just checked and followed a link. This site [http://dazzlepod.com/lulzsec/] has a list of compromised addresses so is probably well worth a check for anyone to see if they have been affected.
Im safe il be sure to show everyone else

Good thing I don't go on any of Micro$oft's games, so it doesn't matter that much. They should've talked with Valve about sharing Steam Guard, but I'm sure they would've charged people to use their version anyway.

Yeah older games, almost all newer ones are forced.
Huh. Guess I just up 'n' hallucinated the gigantic rack of new-release PC games I just saw at Wal-Mart yesterday.
I hope you know steam games come in retail copies as well. I bought fallout new vegas hard copy and still had to use steam.

*ahem* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
OT- proof that the government actually needs to fucking try to stop lulzsec because they are attacking actual companies in a very large scale.

Saying you're working to improve poor security rings as a hollow excuse when you are the thing that needs to be protected against.
This is not how you improve security, this is how you decide to be a jackass and fuck people over.

I'm expecting Lulzsec to be brought down pretty soon. There was an article on CNN that they hit the CIA's system. The CIA was not amused.

That's not a good idea, guys. You may be "leet haxors" but if you really think you can mess with the CIA and not get anal probed for it, you may have a superiority complex.

Ah, see I thought you meant games simply didn't come in hard copy form anymore. Yeah, I will agree that it'd be nice if it was less restrictive, but Steam is one of the better (and less restrictive) DD platforms out there. I think we'll see a lessening of restraint in the near future, especially when people see the success of sites like GOG.com that have NO DRM.

actually we were all laughing and the response from the ps3 community when it went down.

so until live goes down, theres nothing really the same about it.

(yes they supposedly got our info, but until i get proof, or they hack me, it doesnt make a difference to me does it?)

so you would insist that live can never be hacked since it is obviously the better platform which it is because you happen to use it?
and besides isn't your information being stolen more important than not being able to insult people in cod(which apparently a lot of people do over live)?
