It reminds me of that nanny thing surrounding Dante's Inferno for some reason.
can you explain that event to me I never heard anything about it
There was an achivement called 'Bad Nanny' that was unlocked if you killed a cerian amount of Satan Babies or some other underworld child.

I don't really know why it reminded me of that..

Oh you have to love it when people just go around yelling that things are racist, because that never gets old.

"DiMino has demanded that Take-Two halt the release of the 2K Czech-developed game entirely so it can be "cleansed" of all references to Italians and Italian-Americans"

Or what? You gonna send a couple of guys over and take care of it poisonally?

Sorry, but no, seriously, I don't associate Italians with organized crime. However, I do see "Mafia" as the face of Italian organized crime. So a Mafia game without Italians would be realy silly.
I laughed so hard.

OT: This is absurd although I must admit I spent a good amount of time in the demo walking around beating up "Darkies" because I thought it was period specific, although it was kinda ruined by me being an italian mobster.

Also, did anyone else laugh their ass off when you beat up or pull a gun on a black pedestrian and he screams "THIS ************'S CRAZY!"?

Maybe they should give the creators of Mafia an offer they can´t refuse instead of complaining.

'In other news, Germany demands all references to Nazis are removed from World War II games, and Americans ask that no rednecks or Republicans are to be shown in games set in the southern states.'

Seriously, go read a history book on your country, then quietly apologise and bow out before you look like an even bigger fool. There is a difference between depicting the 1920's mafia as existing in exactly the same way that it did then today, and in depicting it in a pseudo-historical representation of the period in which they actually existed.

Also, possibly go and watch Godfather, I think you may take offence to it, and it's never too late to point the finger of racism.
That first sentence is eerily similar to what I was going to post.

How ironic would it be if they threaten them that they'll sleep with the fishes if production doesn't stop immiediately?

You mean, like the way that German law prevents any depiction of Nazis in ANY medium whatsoever?

Seriously. Track down the German version of Wolfenstein 3D. No Nazis. At all.

Yes, but do they demand it of other countries? That's the point. If they don't like it so much, keep the game out of Italy, otherwise live and let live. It's the reason why Germany is such a good example, they keep it out of their own games, but they don't try to restrict all depictions of Nazis ever.

My Great-Grandparents (that's my paternal Grandmother's parents) immigrated from Naples. They had 10 kids. One of those kids grew up, and robbed a store that was "under the protection" of Al Capone. Based on this story it's safe to say, an average of %10 of 2nd generation Italians, somehow became involved with the mob.

Not really. I just saw my chance to share the story of how great uncle Joe (who my Dad, and, later, myself were named after) robbed Al Capone.

I think take-two is going to get an unpleasant "visit" from a few of the boys down at Unico. Specifically Vinnie and a fellow by the name of "Hooks".

Acctually Mafia is the... "italian" branch of organized crime, so it is in no way racist. It's the same as calling the Yakuza games racist due to the fact that the people in Yakuza are japanese.
I mean, seriously!?
