The prize? fuck that I buy it for the box.Tenmar said:Hahah. I'm sorry but reading this just made me laugh about this situation. That is really funny that something like this. Buy a game for the prize just like a box of cereal!stormcaller said:A game about smuggling drugs is smuggling drugs? Awesome!

I wouldn't think most adults would say "These must be Ecstasy!!"
Dude got caught in a compromising position as far as his stash and came up with a crazy story.
All that needs to be said really.Doug said:Why was he giving his 12 year old son an 18 rated game? Although Gamestation where rather stupid not to check what was in the box. Good grief.

Stupid roast beef, you should learn ze French.
The ESRB says 17... ;-;Lord_Ascendant said:aren't there laws that keep kids under 18 from playing M rated games??
Exactly! Nevermind the fact that there are drug references in the game. I swear, the day that I see parents take responsibility will be the day that hell freezes over!Doug said:Why was he giving his 12 year old son an 18 rated game? I wouldn't be surprised, after all, how many of us have actually seen drugs like Ecstasy or Cocaine? I'm sure at 12 years old, most of us have only heard about the "horrors of illegal drugs", none of us actually see what they are.MrGFunk said:The father said he let his son play.Doug said:I assume it was before he even gave it to his son... although who knows?MrGFunk said:How long did his son have the game before he found the pills? I know he's only 12 but it's possible they were his.
Also he's 12, the guy's an idiot. Don't let him play GTA games and then complain you've found drugs in his room. I'm not saying the GTAIV makes people drug addicts but he's certainly accelerating his formative years.
"What made me feel the most distraught was the fact we let our 12-year-old son play the game. Worst case scenario is he could have swallowed those pills," he said.
It's sad that he assumes his son is mature enough to play an adult rated game but in his mind he has the intelligence of a baby/toddler with a oral fixation having to put everything in it's mouth.
It's doesn't say how long they'd had the game. I'd like to have all the story, I'm supposing - it's possible they weren't in the game when bought.
There are so many connections and statements there that make no sense at all. They feel distraught that they let a 12-year-old play GTA, but not because it was violent. They're distraught because he could have accidentally taken ecstasy. Plus, how on earth do you connect playing "racing games, which have Mitsubishi cars in them" to thinking that he could eat candy? Do racing games make people more apt to eat suspicious candy or something?Malygris said:Thornhill has nonetheless called for stricter policies regarding used game sales. "He plays racing games as well, which have Mitsubishi cars in them, so he could have just thought they were something fun - like sweets."
