Youtuber personality aside he goes through with a highlighter on the indictment....It's not good. I attached a couple amusing bits.

It seems like a mixed bag. I think there's a strong chance that this was largely fueled by his own ego. That he just loved having all these cool secrets, but he also couldn't help showing them off, which is his whole personality, his desperation for attention. That's gonna hurt him pretty bad.

At the same time, I just don't see a world where he wasn't "selling" secrets. Not for money. Not straight up, but $20 easy money that he was having dignitaries and political people over and showing them stuff in return for favors like the Ukraine thing.

"Hey, I have this crazy map of surveillance from some folks pretty interested in what you're doing in this region, just really silly stuff, anyhoo, what do you think about a Trump golf resort next to the Etihad Arena? Wouldn't that be great?" I 100% believe he's already done this. He's had a ton of questionable meetings with enemies of the US.
Oh my god, some of that is just delicious.

No wonder his lawyers keep resigning.

Man that's crazy, I can't wait to see how none of this will affect him and he'll be able to get away from it all with something somehow less problematic than a literal wrist slap.

I mean, they keep trying to let him off easy, but then he'll get on TV and brag about all the big crimes he did. This whole investigation has been a comedy sketch

I can see the limpdick excuse coming already: "He says 'what if' and 'wouldn't it', so he's obviously just asking hypothetical questions! Not actually suggesting these actions! Honestly this Trump Derangement Syndrome, you're embarrassing yourselves guys :rolleyes:"

Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

If I had done this with a similar amount of similarly classified documents belonging to the Australian government, I wouldn’t get a subpoena or several requests. I would charitably get a flat out demand for their return from the AFP and had I the brass stupid to refuse that, my next visit would conceivably come from one of the TAG teams and I’d be clapped in irons.

Does it really matter?
One wonders what Trump would need to do to convince his followers he was up to no good.
Even if he did, they would either claim it was part of his strategy or hail his 'integrity', which of course Hillary/Obama/Biden lack for failing to confess to their crimes.

Part of why they like Trump is that he was all the things at some point, said all that can be said and lies about everything, so they can just pick and choose what they like and ignore the rest with some sort of "he lied about that, but he'd never lie about what I find important". They don't care about Trump the person, they care about Trump the Rorschach person that they can see anything they want in and convince themselves he has their back. He's like an imaginary friend that's real.

Literally nothing. Trump is the chosen one, he's perfect, and everything he does is right. And even if people turn on him, or he's caught on tape, his cultists just claim its another layer of the conspiracy.
Remember these people would rather believe the US government killed Ivanka and Jared, cloned them, and released them to purposefully lie about Trump and Jan 6th, then believe the man who said storm the capitol said to storm the capitol.

To be fair, I don't think that explains the ~45% of voters that backed him at the last election, although they may represent a significant proportion of the, er, ~50% of Republican Party members who currently favour him for president, bearing in mind that is a vastly smaller pool of people.

The general public is shockingly uninformed about their politician, most of that 45% just vote R their entire life without ever thinking about it but couldn't give you a list of priority they have. I can't remember where it was but something like 10% can't even tell you if democrat lean more conservative or socialist.

And even more would give the wrong answer if asked, thinking it's the latter.

What I find kind of compelling and I'm curious if the DOJ has looked into this. Trump is well know for refusing to read briefs. He's said it on tape and numerous individuals have complained that keeping him engaged in classified briefs was like pulling teeth.

So...how does Trump know whats in all these boxes and whats of interest to his patrons?

Well we know Trump would never sit down and read through 50 boxes of documents. He never paid attention to briefs....I'll spell it out for you. A second or multiple parties read through some or all of these documents and then provided the finger puppet highlights. Was it Nauta? One of his Attorneys? I bet it was someone from the RNC or maybe even Bannon.

Seems like another violation of the Espionage act if someone without clearance went digging through those docs for trump looking for goodies.

I still think its funny that Republicans think ''we LIKE Trump and therefore you can't punish him for stealing documents'' is a valid argument.
