Phew. Judging from the title, I though Mark Hamill had been diagnosed with a terminal disease or something. They'd better not get someone else to do the voice in potential sequels. Wouldn't be right. I'm betting on Two-Face, by the way.
Meh, one was meant to be in the third the other wasn't meant to continue. It's really that simple.LiquidGrape said:Poor writing.Captain Pancake said:Going on a bit of a tangent here, but how come in the new batman films batman "left" his mentor to die, but he rescued a psychotic madman that he had no previous affiliation to?
Easy as that.
He didn't, he couldn't have saved 'Rhas al'Ghul', or rather, the fake guy, in the burning building, but he jumps out of a window and risks his own life to save Henri Ducard, the real Rhas. He saves his mentor, and only lets him die right at the end when Rhas is planning to effectively let Gotham tear itself apart in madness and has brought his own end upon himself.Captain Pancake said:Going on a bit of a tangent here, but how come in the new batman films batman "left" his mentor to die, but he rescued a psychotic madman that he had no previous affiliation to?
It would be nice to see them explore all his other foes, there really are some good ones, however, Batman isn't Batman without the Joker.sinclose said:Ah well, I can understand his reasons.
And frankly, I was hoping Rocksteady could focus on more main villains(like Ra's Al Ghul) rather than using the joker to death, like so many Batman plots...
Yep I agree with both statements. Ledger was a decent madman but just did not have the jokery vibe.Kalezian said:canadamus_prime said:That'll be a shame. As far as I'm concerned Hamill is the Joker, everyone else is a pale imitation. ...except maybe for Jack Nickleson.
Now before all you Heth Ledger fans jump down my throat, let me qualify that statement by saying that I did think Heth Ledger's performance was brilliant, magnificent even; I'd personally give him an Oscar for it if it were up to me. Wait, didn't he get an Oscar for it? I don't know. Anyway, despite that though, it just didn't feel like the Joker to me.
to be honest, Ledger's Joker didnt feel like the psychotic prankster we have had for so long, instead he just felt like another psychopathic murderer.
still a good incarnation of the Joker, mind you, but the Joker's insanity is waht to me, makes the Joker, and it will be a sad day when we no longer hear Mr. Hamill's laugh while staring at the Jokers smile:
Mark Hamill WAS the joker in the animated series.Grinnbarr said:Did anyone see the 'The Batman' animated series? I really liked the Joker in that. Obviously the voice actor is nowhere near Hamill, but I reckon he'd be an OK replacement.

Yes, he was the Joker in 'Batman: the Animated Series'. In 'The Batman', a newer series, the voice actor was (according to Wikipedia) Kevin Michael Richardson. Well he does do a good joker all I hope is if they use that guy next they gave him the look from the newer series becasue it just fits his voice better than the suit and tie look.Grinnbarr said:Did anyone see the 'The Batman' animated series?
