1.9 gigs is a whole lot of ending. Perhaps it contains a great deal of different possible epilogues depending on the choices you made in the game, on top of explaining whichever of the three endings you picked?
It's a step in the right direction, but honestly I'm happy believing the indoctrination theory, even though it's becoming apparent that it wasn't the ending they intended

I don't know if it will be quite so rage inducing. Mass Effect 3's ending kinda blindsided people. I don't think there is quite the same degree of expectation for this DLC.

Since its not fundamentally changing the ending, I will be watching this on youtube and the wiki while I play Dawnguard.

I'm not even sure i can be bothered to replay ME3, the endings kind of killed the game for me, seriously how lazy can be to just change colours.

I wasn't even bothered about a happy ending i just would have liked to see some effort in the ending rather than choose A, B, C and we shall change the colours style ending, killed it for me.

It will explode either way. But I hope the explosion will be the one of love, not hate.

what ever that may be iam sure the explosions will come in either red ,blue or green color variation....

I guess there's a few different camps after the shitstorm first ended. You have the content side happy to see more content, the disappointed side hoping that this'll satisfy them after a letdown, then you've got the retake side... Bioware is dead to them and the entire series has been ruined. For that last group it's not gonna matter what the extended ending is. They'll irrationally flame and shit all over Bioware like they did before. They've already made up their mind.

So there's gonna be at least a flamewar no matter what.

I am excited for this. I was one of the few people who didn't mind the endings, at least not conceptually and if I get to learn how my friends got out of the whole crash-landing pickle plus whatever else, that will be good enough.

It's kind of sad that no matter what Bioware do now, all they're ever going to get is the same whiny, angry, self-entitled bitching that they've been getting since well before the game came out. I think if people didn't like the game and don't have anything constructive to say, they should kindly shut the fuck up and go play something else. All the vitriol and nerd rage is doing is ruining it for the people who actually liked the game.

if you think the retake me3 guys were irrational and vulgar then you my friend have no idea what that movement stood for or what they did.

just because 1 or 2 extreme people identified with the group don't mean they represent it.
the retake movement was by far one of the best things to happen in recent years as gamers stood united for a worthwhile goal and did so with honorable means and not hate mongering and spin doctoring every thing like bioware did against them.

and yeah your right , the retake guys probably gona hate the extended cuts because they frankly did not address 90% of the issues people had with the ending it just piles on more shit to the already stinky pile.

You're still gonna cry and complain and you still won't even know why. And anyone who tries to guess you scream at them about how they "don't get it".

I know exactly what that movement stood for and it was being irrational, extreme, vulgar, and yes a well earned entitled label because they didn't like the ending of a videogame.

It was not 1 or 2. It was the movement. You have no idea or, more likely, are willingly blind and ignorant to what that movement was.

And it all started with one girl working there with pro-gay views.

i was among the 1st to be apart of said group , i got into the game real early and by god was one of the early people who experienced the endings glorious disaster and i kept track of the web for a long time after the initial debate.
and that's exactly what it was a debate practically all the people who finished the game early and since then were debating VERY logically and rationally about how the ending made no sense and how they just flat out ignored every thing about the series and went with god child + space magic as an ending to a trilogy.

after a while the retake campaign started and nothing changed people who cared about the games and the ending continued in civilized debate at which bioware scoffed , belittled and spit at.

the shit storm itself and the many extremest on various sites were just people not retake specific people they just identified with the group but did not represent them.
simple as that.

that movement was a victory in every meaning of the word even if bioware still gave no shit about the people or what they represented.

that's just how it happened , don't just go and shame the movement for the few that called for biowares head' the majority of the people who were with retake were more civilized than the people who made the game.

The movement was a fan-initiative to get Bioware to change the ending so it actually took the decisions players made into account, instead of giving us Casper the Space Ghost and his 'choice' clearly pre-defined endings.
With forum raging/spamming/trolling of Bioware, metabombing, hate mail, death threats, rating bombings, calls for firings...

And it wasn't a minority doing these things. There were certainly calls for civility from within but the movement had already defined itself by the majority its members actions.

/slowclap. Great. Thanks Bioware. With Skyrim and KOAR on there it won't fit on my bloody hard drive.

I was gonna just watch it on YouTube anyway since I don't still have the game. 1.9 Gigs of just video must be quite lengthy though unless its just HQ.

and BTW, you don't need to choose between this and Dawnguard cos this is free.

Are you kidding me? You people reported them to the FTC, you won't tell outsiders what you're crying about like if you told them you'd be executed, you threw a Cliffy B level tantrum whenever somebody said you're entitled and I know there's people in RME that said OR, 100,000 Strong and OO are entitled.

So saying there was one or two bad members is laughable.

Any word whether the 1.9 gigs are all for single player content or a single player epilogue with a multiplayer update?

Personally, I'm hoping it's all devoted to single player content.

1.9 gigs seems suspiciously large considering the comparably short time to develop things from scratch.
