What are Mass Effect fans going to do if they actually like this new ending? They're already donated thousands of dollars to charity and sent them cupcakes out of anger originally. So if they like it, then what?

Now I'm very curious to see what happens. The internet breeds some strange trolls sometimes.

It will explode either way. But I hope the explosion will be the one of love, not hate.

I'm genuinely curious to see how Bioware is going to make sense of the giant heap of entangled whale guts they ended the series with.

Either it'll suck again, in wich case I'll have a blast listening to all the various rants, or it'll actually be good (pff yeah right). Either way, win win.

I don't have any hopes. Judging by this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y7xk1_x8ko it is very clear that Bioware don't understand how the ending fails on all basic levels as a piece of storytelling, and that they are too full of themselves to listen the countless complains and grievances people have put out over the past couple of months. It hardly takes more than browsing for 10 minutes in any given thread about the ending to find out what is wrong.

They still seem to think that the hatred comes from a lack of "closure" and "clarity", when the most massive issues with ending are how it violates almost everything in the series thematically, dramatically, and lorewise, and that it is literally the exact opposite of what was repeatedly promised doing development. They are basically going to release a polished turd.

I think I am going to be sitting this one out on Youtube.

Hmmm, Skyrim or Mass Effect 3.....A fun game or a average game with a very bad ending....yeah, I'm going with Skyrim on this one. Meanwhile, I'll be laughing because of the sh*t-storm this "extend ending" is going to reawaken >. >

I'm actually pretty psyched for this.
Of course that isn't going to stop everyone on the internet from whining about it anyways, since everyone has apparently already decided it sucks.

Looking forward to the new content; dreading the inevitable *****-fest that this will turn into.

1.9 gigs on the same day as Dawnguard? Better ready the battlements to see who gets the 360 first. Probably should try to clear out some room beforehand and download all the updates to my hard drive first though. And I think I made a separate save right before Cronus Station, so I may be good (my lust for Kaidan is helpful!).

Capatcha: lose face
I certainly did.

What the hell is up with the disparity between Europe and North America?

It's the same systems and same internet and (mostly) the same language.

What the hell?

Meh. I'll sit this one out and wait for the reviews. There are more important things. Like Diablo 3, for instance.

July 4th? Other things to watch explode other than the local fireworks show, then...

1.9 gigs is a whole lot of ending. Perhaps it contains a great deal of different possible epilogues depending on the choices you made in the game, on top of explaining whichever of the three endings you picked?
It's a step in the right direction, but honestly I'm happy believing the indoctrination theory, even though it's becoming apparent that it wasn't the ending they intended

I don't know if it will be quite so rage inducing. Mass Effect 3's ending kinda blindsided people. I don't think there is quite the same degree of expectation for this DLC.

Since its not fundamentally changing the ending, I will be watching this on youtube and the wiki while I play Dawnguard.

I'm not even sure i can be bothered to replay ME3, the endings kind of killed the game for me, seriously how lazy can be to just change colours.

I wasn't even bothered about a happy ending i just would have liked to see some effort in the ending rather than choose A, B, C and we shall change the colours style ending, killed it for me.
