Mass Effect 3 comes out on March 6, just four days from today, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Unless, you know, you live in Europe and you have to wait seven more days. Bloody Americans.

I think the greatest thing about this trailer is when Shepard tells the Illusive Man to go to hell. Can't wait to say that to him myself. Space battles are also cool.
That will be cool, but this is what I'm really waiting for:

Also, I forgot to mention in my first post: this trailer is good, but I don't think it quite reached the point of being as good as the ME2 launch trailer. Hell, when you can have a character tell us to "fight for the lost" and have it actually still sound pretty cool, you've done it right.
I am so hyped for that inevitable verbal ass whooping I shall lay down on that asshat!
Eh...get ready to be disappointed.
Apparently, when you first get to the Citadel from Earth, the Council just says "well, it's your fight, we don't give a shit". Fucking assholes.
I am not going to get mad, I am calm, very calm.

Or you live in Southamerica, in which case you have to wait ten days and pay 2 or 3 times the original price.

You guys in Europe get The Avengers Movie a week before we do...

I was expecting something more.

I remember Mass Effect when it wasn't a hyped actiony thriller. Y'know, the Mass Effect I cared about? This looks like Call of Duty in space.

I think I really am too old for video games.

the trailer is awsome...
**here comes the "but"**
But lets not forget that explosions and sex is not what made mass effect great, it goes far deeper then that.
it does?
ok, the first part, maybe (although if memory serves it was advertised with a generic man with short brown hair and a blue woman having sex; nothing Planescape Torment or BG needed :p ); but ME2 was already much more... accessible (read: dumbed down). and soft pornographic sexy (Miranda? Samara? Jacob for the ladies women?). and focused on blowing stuff up, even a half baked reaper, which was easily destroyed with an effing handgun!!
and inconsistent, in itself and in combination with ME 1 even more so

and now there's an entire fleet of reapers; it takes them forever to rip earth apart - in ME 1 a single reaper did what it name said - he smashed through a biiig fleet of ships like they were nothing; and as i do not think bioware will let the super-awesome humans lose in ME3, another fleet of "normal" races can take on - and most probably overcome - a shitload of reapers

as negative as this might sound, i am curious how they want to pull that off convincingly :) (not to mention i have to play it because i hate not finishing series), and a one-time authorisation via origin is reasonable, so... yeah, looking forward to it, even if it will be more mindless than ME2

That was an epic trailer. I loved the theme music in the trailer, it rivals the Suicide Mission theme for pure epicness. Still want my fucking number-crunching back though *grumble*

Yeah i'm pretty sick of Bioware's "humans are the awesomest thing ever". Especially since they took a Star Wars title and gave you five race options, two of which are human. Though on the other hand... maybe Sovereign was the Reapers biggest gun? Maybe they were so efficient earlier because their biggest gun got a sneak attack in before anyone was ready? Maybe the god-awful baby-reaper in ME2 (I hated that part, story and gameplay wise) was an attempt to create another Sovereign? Maybe they should hire their good writer back...

Blarg,blarg,...
Meh. Another trailer that shows no gameplay. What's the point. And lol at "epic".
Still excited for this game. It's going to be a "so bad it's good" game.

Wait...little to no haters??

OMG! Its a miracle! Bioware has created a trailer that almost gets Bioware peace! Especially here on the escapist where its 'cool' to hate Bioware!

Awesome trailer as usual. Looking at my pre-order receipt wishing it was Thursday (in Australia)

Mass Effect 2 launch trailer was better, although that one still got me hard.

Shame I won't be able to play until the end of March - although I'll be replaying Mass Effect 2 in the mean time, as I forgot to back up my save before reformatting my HDD the other day.

I'm impressed how most (not to say all) of the epicness comes from the music... :O

Yeah, first thing I thought of when I saw that trailer? "Not boring enough."

I swear I don't understand some of you people.

Hey! Hey! I got one of those Mass Effect pictures too! :)

...Am I doing this right?

Quoted for two reasons:

1) Agreed.

2) The second half of the trailer's music (if you didn't know already) was done by a group called Two Steps from Hell. They create albums of nothing but purely "epic" music, and are definitely worth a listen. I hype them up every time I get a chance. I do love the actual music for the game as well for as much as we've heard of it; Clint Mansell (the guy they brought on for just this game) is doing a fantastic job.
My favorite part? The song they're using for the trailer is called Protectors of the Earth.

Really? It takes seven more days to get to Europe? That's fantastic! :D That gives me another week to play Mass Effect 2 before 3 comes out. ;)

Brilliant trailer. Yeah, it's lots of explosions and speeches, but it's exactly what a launch trailer should be. It's not about conveying the subtler points of the game, it's about getting people pumped for it.

I recognised the Two Steps From Hell track as soon as it started :D Their music being used in the ME2 launch trailer was what introduced me to them.
