A lot of one player games involve the use of teams, without multiplayer elements - for the longest time Final Fantasy did. When multiplayer was added via MMORPG the results were, to politely, mixed. Since then they've been removed. Sports games where ever player on the team is human controlled are even rarer.Souplex said:It's an RPG in which you work on a team. Tailor made for co-op. It's been a major shortfalling of the series, and this is their last chance to address it. This is also their last chance to finally add melee weapons, but listening to me would be the smart thing, so they won't.The Cake Is Annoying said:Why would they introduce multiplayer now, so late into the series, of a narrative driven RPG? That's like complaining that a book isn't multiplayer to me.Souplex said:The real question: If there is multiplayer, will it be local? If not it doesn't matter.
"Hurry up and skip the cutscene!"
Why would they work so hard - from scratch - to add a problem (it is not a feature) like that?
I've seen so many people say this in this thread and nobody has corrected it. Bioware have said that if your Shepard doesn't survive, you WILL NOT be able to import that save file in to ME3. You will start with a generic Shepard instead. So no, you won't be able to play as the guy in the trailer, Mass Effect is Shepard's story.jamescorck said:I am pretty sure that, for those who couldn't have their Shepard to survive the end of the second game they will be given the option to play as the guy with the sniper rifle in the trailer.
no its not its on the same side..........at least i think it is........TO GOOGLE EARTH!!!zacobar said:Sorry if this is a repost but has anyone else noticed that last view in the teaser is wrong?
The London Eye is on the other side of the Thames, you shouldn't be able to see it.
Well Reapers are powerful but Earth's not gonna fall in a single night.SteelStallion said:A few million in the first week?
Doesn't anyone else find that weird? It's a planet extermination, and all they could do in a week is a few million out of several billion?
I'm with you on this, I didn't see it coming either...Starke said:I didn't. I was hoping they wouldn't be that cliche. Apparently I need to lower my expectations once again.Flying-Emu said:Really, did anyone not see this coming?
I like this idea and it wouldn't be entirely unlike Bioware either, consideringSoviet Heavy said:I want Earth destroyed in the opening sequence, and then the rest of the game involves the survivors preparing the rest of the galaxy.
Never underestimate people's ability to complete misinterpret what they're shown.tellmeimaninja said:Are people legitimately believing that it's going to be on Earth the whole game?
For fucks sake, people. Did you play Mass Effect 2? Hell, did you play Dragon Age?
You know most of what you're meant to do from the beginning. You're likely to spend most of the game building up a force to take on the Reapers.
Yeah, I know. I've had to explain the events of both previous ME games quite a number of times to get people to realize what's going on.tellmeimaninja said:And they also seem utterly astounded by the Reapers fascination with humanity.JediMB said:Never underestimate people's ability to complete misinterpret what they're shown.tellmeimaninja said:Are people legitimately believing that it's going to be on Earth the whole game?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that one human is responsible for completely fucking over their plans twice.
