By god, that's awful. That's horrible. That's... That's just monstrous.
The point of Mass Effect wasn't in that you could sacrifice teammates you didn't like willy-fucking-nilly. The point is to connect with the characters in a way that you feel emotionally attached to them, like Shepard seems to be.
At least that's how I played it.
The fact that you played it as any other game makes it clear why you don't get the joke. It's because Shepard's choices are your choices. You're the one who's making them, you, for all intents and purposes, are Shepard.
So if you sacrificed your team, Shepard, and in turn you, are a monster.
So if you think sacrificing half of your team isn't a big deal, I'd hate to be the human race when you fight the Reapers in Mass Effect 3. Or any other sentient species, for that matter.
Because you'd kinda suck in saving us all.
