Wait, what? Now superheroes are considered inappropriate for children? SUPERHEROES?!

These guys might disagree with the CCFC. I suggest that this group listen to them.
Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there...

The power rangers used their individual weapons?! Holy cow, when did this happen?

OT: I had to comment on this one picture because the CCFC's comments made me laugh so hard it took me a moment to actually catch my breath.

Is that from when the Black Ranger was Johnny Yong Bosch and the Yellow Ranger was a black woman?

OT: You know, I don't it's that bad of a problem, it's not like kids are addicted to anything worse, *looks at profile* Oh, I'm about 13. *looks again* It seems my interest is in Goichi Suda games. Those aren't ba-, hold on a sec

There are seriously bigger problems for the youth of today than Marvel superheroes.

Oh noes, McDonalds is still giving out action figures after all these years?

*does a little research*

And now I've learned that Burger King is selling Iron Man action figures too!

[HEADING=2]Burn down all fast food restaurants with fire! We must save the innocence of our children! For the love of all that is commercial free, think of the children![/HEADING]

/sarcasm

Seriously though? What next, are they going to go after McDonalds when they offer Disney Princess dolls for reinforcing traditional ideas of sexual roles into the youth of tomorrow?

I'm sorry but I think an organization that is supposed to be protecting children should aim at stopping, oh I don't know, child pornography?! That is something that is hurting far more children in far worse ways then "It's clobbering time" The Thing action figures.

At first I thought CCFC meant that it was low to put such popular superheroes as McDonalds toys to lure children to eat at McDonalds, it being terrible for your health, but reading on CCFC sounds full of assholes. P.S. I want that Captain America toy.

It should probably (or has already been) mentioned that the really young children that the CCFC mainly directs their attention towards aren't even getting their hands on these toys. McD's has its own line of non-offensive kindergarten/preschooler toys such as giant legos and balls outside of the normal toys that are displayed due to legality reasons. It's been this way for decades.

Then again, if some wacko in the CCFC is getting upset about comic superheroes, I'm astonished that they haven't gone after HamBurgler.

The people who complain about superheroes in happymeals are the kinds of people who you wouldn't pick in gym class for any team because they were scared of the ball. Yes, it is advertising, but it's not going to drive you any more to violence than playing a dragon ball z game makes you want to turn people into junk food and eat them. (If you don't understand this reference, you haven't been watching enough cartoons, no exceptions.)

I tried to think of a response, but instead, I think I'll just say it will be the best thing ever if there's an apocalypse and nobody survives.
Good riddance.

I have never heard such asshatery. I've never heard of said asshats (in this case, the CCFC) before either. Seriously, these trolls make Michael Atkinson look like a swell guy.

Times like these are when I reflect upon myself and how I'm blessed with a clear view of the world (and a horrid video game addiction XD) and think to myself "I could have been born a fucktard like those idiots."

Seriously though, this shit is why I'm thinking of leaving the United States once I finish college (too bad I'm only a Junior in high school)

tsk tsk tsk this is unacceptable if we dont stop mcdonalds now what will they do next... why dont we just wrap all children in cotton wool lock them in padded rooms and sedate them whenever they are not at school then they won't be influenced.
Personally i think "it's clobberin time" against all these censorship and religous advocacy groups. Still mcdonalds knows they will not be affected, if i were them i'd start putting in the "Happy multi-cultural religous figure superhero" featuring your faverites such as: Jesus with a cruciform sword and light up halo effects
Muhammed with changeable faces and qua'ran mace
Ganesh with flexible trunk/whip
Jehovah with star of david shuriken
and
buddha with bodhi tree bo staff
failing that they can release a staement telling these people to fuck off but they should seriously announce the aforementioned idea as an april fools day joke just to see the reaction from these groups

To be quite honest with you it's not that horrifying a visage until the kid actually sets the Torch toy on fire and uses the Thing as a blunt instrument on his sister's head. I know you're all thinking: "That's not going to happen", "Nobody would do that" and "Thanks for the idea", but sadly the CCFC aren't going far enough.

I hope you all realise that we are just one toy away from encouraging borderline personality disorder, a love of ties and punchable female reporters and a very real fear of having happy Sims.

It has to be stopped.
