Yes, just look at that picture of the Silver Surfer, standing there, surfing. An obvious incitement to violence, that. /sarcasm

Shouldn't the unhealthy food and sugary soft-drinks be a bigger concern to these buffoons than the damn toys?

So, the classic costumed characters (as in, the costumes that where in the ninties TV shows, not the movies. Ho, and ALLITERATION!) are promoting the movies which either aren't coming out, have come out, or are coming out, but the character looks completely different? And did they do any research? The "Man on fire" is the Human Torch, and "It's clobbering time" is The Things' catchphrase.

But, after I got that out, all I have to say is "get out your rage, then ignore the trolls".

Wait, what? Now superheroes are considered inappropriate for children? SUPERHEROES?!

These guys might disagree with the CCFG. I suggest that this group listen to them.
Wha? They are holding WEAPONS!!!!11! It must be bad for children if they are holding WEAPONS and using VIOLENCE to solve there problems! /sarcasm.
PLASTIC WEAPONS TEH HORRRRRRRROR!!!!
lol...im sorry thats just too funny.
I remember I was once playing a game with a stupid friend and he suddenly said
'I think Mario teaches kids to punch bricks'
I asked him if he was serious or not so I knew wether or not to shove a brick into his......well w/e.
The point is that these guys are worried about pg-13 toys when I went to go see The ring when i was like..12? and alien vs predator movies when i was like..12? lol.

...I've said this before to a topic, about video games causing something crazy, but...is this a joke? Please tell me this is.

Superheroes may be "violent" sometimes (Batman's newest movie having enough scary images to rival the traumatized kids back when they thought that Romero's original Night of the Living dead would be a movie for 5 year old kiddies, you know, zombies eating each other), but they teach to be good citizens and to fight for GOOD.

So the CCFC thinks that teaching kids to be good citizens so they don't see Spider Man's fist before his mask is a bad thing? Hmm....maybe Doctor Doom, Venom, Green Goblin and Nazis are running the CCFC, and they don't want the heroes to gain anymore ground...

Though looking at that site, it's HORRIBLE! They seem to oppose everything, sugar, toys, anything that's fun to a 5 year old. In all of this, I feel for the children of these creepos, who won't be getting happy meals anytime soon sadly :( Poor kids, don't you worry, the CCFC will create a hero accidentally and they'll be taken down, where's the NLL? (National League of Lawyers)

Let's be fair - as an action figure lover, I can tell that that Human Torch one looks, to be frank, like crap. It could be mistaken for simply a man, on fire, burning to death. These people obviously don't know that the Human Torch is, in fact, totally awesome.

Honestly, what planet do these people come from? When they were kids, didn't their generation read about said action figures in comics?

Yep. That's how the world works now in terms of danger to children:
Implied sex > Implied violence > Real unhealthy food.

Seriously....this is pathetic, honestly I don't see the harm in this, they are SUPER HEROES, meaning defenders of Truth Justice, and the Common man, people to look up too...honestly

Ahahahahaha! That's a good one! Is this the same person behind the site that says "Iceland worships the devil?" I love it when someone parodies crazy groups with no backings in logic or reason.

Wait....they're serious?

Oh dear me ... if Marvel superheroes can inspire the wrong things ... is it too late for me to throw out my Dragon Ball figures that i got from those happy meal purchases? Am i already influenced?

CCFC should have better things to worry about than this ....

Um, WTF? This new low is pretty ancient I think. Its been going on since at least the 80's, so that's strike one. Are we sure that the preschoolers even understand the movies these action figures are coming from?

The Human Torch is only scary if you play it like they did in the Venture Bros. and then the real Torch is kind of funny after that.

Horrifying is asking if you have a boy or a girl and then stuffing a gender-specific toy in the box instead of asking what toy the kid would like. I don't want Barbie, I want the HotWheels dammit!

What these people are trying to do is just impossible and stupid in the scale of it's pointlessness. The only way to create a commercial free childhood is to raise a kid in a box with a toilet and a light bulb.

I would have understood if McDonalds was leading impressionable young children to watch Halloween H2O repeatedly (Not really but hey) but PG-13? How is that even that bad? In any case, PG-13 over here in the UK is just "PG" for "Parental guidance". At best it stretches to 12a, which means anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Jeez who the hell are they telling people how to live?

I searched their "cause" too, and funnily enough, no 'contact us' section. Opinions are clearly a one way street to these people. To be expected really.

They're now added to my mental list of "People who lack any common sense whatsoever."

for goodness sake,

Marvel heroes have been in Super Hero Squad, and in their own shows intended for the TV-Y7 audience.

I don't see the horrifying part of it, not at all.

Super Hero Toys?! Oh crap! Kids would never ever do anything violent, until you give them these toys! It's evil I tell you, EVIL!!

In all seriousness, kids are always attracted to mature material. Giving them a plastic toy will not change this.
