Ok, watched the trailer, I've slightly changed my mind... I think the conversation went more like:

"Hey, let's do a new series"
"Cool, what's it about?"
"er... Games... That are designed by dogs?"
"What?!? Are you kidding? That's not gonna fly!"
"It's OK, Jon said he'd do some voice acting"
"Ahh, at least we'll get the Apocalypse Lane fans watching for the first few episodes"

Sorry guys, but you lost me at "two dogs on a mission to make a career out of making games".

Furries?

Really guys? Furries?
and what's wrong with that???
Oh, please don't tempt me.

OT: I think everyone's making the mistake of judging an entire series by a 40 second teaser trailer.

Dear God people, wait for at least a pilot episode before you all start whining, even I'm fairly open to the idea of them working around the furry thing.

Erm, why dogs? I don't see how this could possibly add any comedic value whatsoever. Never the less I'll watch the first few episodes. Trailer was shit though... Dog shit.

Jon if your reading this then do more Renagade Awesome videos. I would rather watch that than this new show.

I'm surprised I even had to go 8 posts down to see someone mention furries.

Honestly, that's the only justification I can see for this to involve dogs. That or maybe the mediocre animation works better with non-humans. That's all I can think of.

The trailer did nothing for me whatsoever. I'll watch the first episode in the name of keeping an open mind, but this really seems like a bad idea. Thank goodness the LRR guys have two video series in addition to their normal work for me to be entertained by.

I hope I turn out to be completely wrong, but I really am surprised this saw the light of day.

I'm with most people here. I'm not looking forward to it, honestly. The dogs just seems gimmicky.

Whoa, Poochy flashback.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts here.

Two dogs on a mission to make games? Isn't that the same premise as that Codemonkeys series...but with dogs?

Not really anything in this trailer to get anyone intrested really... hope the pilot has something to it

sorry touchy subject???
No, I just don't plan on getting banned for shitcanning this entire thread with various links to ED, Furaffinity, or any number of delicious Google image results.

OT: I see this as something like J-Pod, but with dogs, which could be very very good.

Also: Why is Gary's tie longer than a full-sized furry-dog's tie would be?

Everyone seems to be missing the reason for the whole "dog" thing:

Dogs are easier to draw than people.

At least...that's the only reason I can think of...

This will end bad.

What were you people thinking?

Good god, and here I thought there was something more to The Escapist then Yahtzee. I was naive. One of the main characters will be a typical Mary Sue. Good luck with that.
I can't tell if trailer was a collection of random clips or not. I couldn't understand a single line of their awfully voice-acted dialog.

This show looks stupid, the voices are grating and the ad screws with my browser. Seriously, who looks at that and says "that's a wonderful idea for a show"?

I have to say, the ad annoyed me into clicking it, and I don't really expect much from what I saw in the trailer, I'll watch the pilot episode when it's released though to form a better opinion on it.

Ad that is turned on by pressing "C" by a mistake, no idea why those are dogs (because they are taller than cats and easier to animate + draw? they don't have lips, just mouths), nothing funny in the trailer, nothing artsy (Rebecca Mayes... or at least, that was her excuse - not funny, but artistic) about it... and seems mediocre at best.

I feel a little lost about this series guys... I will give it a shot though for a few weeks.. Most of the content here I have enjoyed even though I didn't think so at first. (There will be Brawl for example.)

So I will cross my fingers and hope for the best...
