Actually I can see where they are coming from. Bayonetta was originally designed for the xbox and was copy pasted onto the ps3 and is much poorer with lots of loading times and worse graphics. Same with GTA IV which looks better on 360 and loads quicker than on the ps3

Just saying it's on the ps3 does not mean it will be good but I am one of the people who don't like mass effect and star wars but there you go

This just in! Ford says you shouldn't buy any other cars. Gibson says you shouldn't buy any other guitars, and the Conservative party say you shouldn't vote Labour.

Why are people surprised? It's kind of a weak attempt at single console marketing at any road.

Without the carry-over, ME2 feels...incomplete. It's still more than playable. But there's a lot of little things...And it just didn't feel right when I started over without an import character.
This!

OT: I don't think starting from ME2 without ever playing the first one would have the same feeling, all those little emotional scenes like seeing Joker and Tali again after you come back to life just wouldn't have the same feeling having not known them well enough to get that safe feeling those scenes carry.

Incomplete to you. An impression I'm fairly certain one develops only if they've played the first…or if they're a completist.

Same as a movie or book; if the game's story and play are any good, you don't need the first to get everything you expect out of the sequel. You certainly don't need to have played MGS2 to get a blast from MGS3 or MGS4 (or AciD or Portable Ops, etc., etc.)

And the original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only place to get the full Mass Effect experience.
So in Microsofts reality, the PC is not a gaming platform.

Oh my friggin' god, what is up with everyone being upset over Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3? I mean, seriously, nobody asked you Microsoft! I think I'm fully within my right to tell them to shove it and shut up, be happy for gamers in general and just let it freakin' be. This is just pitiful and petty of Microsoft.

Have Microsoft and Sony switched places? It seems that MS is the one making the stupid statements and Sony's just sitting there being quiet.....oh jeez, Sony better not be charging their giant enemy crabs of stupid statements...

I wonder what M$'s reaction would be if Sony said the same about the Metal Gear Solid franchise and the PS3 being the only console to play MGS Rising on, seeing as they have the back catalogue if games.

Or the Final Fantasy franchise for that matter, seeing as it was only ever Sony and Nintendo with the rights to it in the past

It hardly matters to me. I SO want to play Mass Effect, but I came late to the party. You can't find a copy of Mass Effect on any store shelves, they haven't(And I don't expect them to ever) release a dual pack with ME1 and 2, so this has absolutely no incentive for me. They are right, it is a bit silly to port the game to the PS3 while ME1 remains xbox only.
Store shelves? What are those? There is only Steam. Get them both for a total of 40$ if you shop smart.

So, even though PC gaming isn't dead (cough cough) people are still going to say it is because corporations have largely turned a blind eye to it. Microsoft, developer of the PC gaming platform Windows, doesn't remember that it exists. Oops!

Microsoft, would it kill you to acknowledge the PC once in awhile? Honestly I think any console is the worst place to experience Mass Effect. It's a game that works significantly better on a PC.

Sure. Who do they have to compete against for gaming and OS? Sure apple has what... 8% market share? No real contest there.

OT: This actually makes me sad, not because I think it's not fair or anything, but the idea of exclusives going away. Software should define which console you buy, and exclusives are the way to do that. It's okay Bioware, I still love you.... as long as you don't screw up SW:TOR.

well its about time,we knew it would come to the ps3,i was excited about it when it came out and thought it would come out only a little while later than the xbox and pc versions.really now i couldn't care less.its biowares loss and they had no reason not to release it on ps3,(i know microsoft pays 3rd party publishers to release it early on xbox/pc)and why is everyone whining about mass effect 1 its not even that good a game.

I sure as hell won't be getting it on the PS3. The only reason to would be if you never played it on 360/PC

Y'all who do have a dead Wrex.

Good luck with that one.
I really really wanted to kill him anyway (but I'm too good of a person for that) so I let him live in ME1.

I hven't played 2 yet but the choices that they make for me won't bother me.

*I kept Ashley in ME1 is she alive in 2 or is Kaiden?

They're just saying it because they want all the money from Mass Effect.

Screw you, Micro$oft!
Yes screw a major corporation for trying to make money! Microsoft should act more like all the other companies in the world. You know, those ones who never try to make money and only try to give everything to their fans no matter how it affects the over all companies health!

Ashley is alive but the council is dead if you don't import a character.

Yes... the meat vendor says that his meat is the best and that everybody else's meat sucks, and the reason we should believe the meat vendor in the first place?
