Y'all who do have a dead Wrex.

Good luck with that one.
then theres no point in playing the game.

OT: Meh i dont care too much since I have both consoles. But I just wish there were more exclusives then multi-platform games out.

I'm not sure if I should be filled with rage that they forgot that they're awesome 'exclusive' was far better on the PC or if I should be laughing at how they lost it to their arch rival the PS3 :p

I wonder if that Mass Effect 1 save site will be compatable with the PS3, since the PS3 does have a web browser. Thats how I get UT3 mods on my PS3 after all.

Also, Microsoft. What about the PC? I have ME1 and 2 on the PC, and going to get ME3 on the PC. Your logic is flawed.

Times like this I'm glad to be part of the 'PC master race' camp. Still...I can remember how initially I was really wondering wether or not to get me an Xbox 360, when Mass Effect 1 was at first announced as solely exclusive for the platform.

Fortunately enough I chose to be patient instead and avoid all the spoilers around the internet. And sure enough in 6 months time Bioware outsourced it to Demiurge Studios when the Microsoft "let's see how many impatient PC owners will buy Xbox because we'll withold that version for more dollarz!" plan finally ended.

Not surprised they're interested in further consolidating their gains by slagging off their rivals and not even considering about allowing ME1 to go PS3 too for the sake of the fans. They could stand to profit if they made a deal with Sony for the license, but they'd rather not see their competition profit along with themselves it seems.

Or everybody could just play the entire series on the PC, too.

Thank you so much for that last sentence.

Yes... the meat vendor says that his meat is the best and that everybody else's meat sucks, and the reason we should believe the meat vendor in the first place?
They wouldn't say that because it would be uncurtious and impolite,
everyone i saying its ok to say "yeah that xbox thing is for little girls",but they don't because there big respossable copartions, they just are too big, they can't be doing the "sega do what nintendon't" thing

Oh god, I lol'd.

And I agree with Kwil. This is hardly something that sounds surprising.

That sounds like a desperate cry for help from MS. Besides PC is the best platform for ME. I'm not trying to be a fanboy I tried to play it on Xbox 360 and I didn't like it.

I'm sure i'll be buying an Xbox 360 just for Mass Effect 1, don't worry MS...

If i really wanted to play ME1 i'd wipe the dust from my 360 just buy it for PC, noone's missing out for not having a 360 really the way this is going. It had a good run while it lasted though i guess.

I think some one is a sore loser.
DLC will most likely come packaged with ME2, negating the whole "paid content" stance that MS is using. It is also very likely that Bioware is going to invent a small introduction to the game, giving people who never played ME1 the ability to make the same important choices for the story line.
I also love how they forgot to mention the PC version, witch is vastly superior to the console version, graphics and gameplay wise. Way to alienate your PC fan base again.

playing without an import character was my anti-choices.

Anderson WASNT a councilman, the council had died, Wrex was dead, and Williams survived. Completly opposite of what I had chosen for my first import character.
Really? I hadn't tried not importing yet and now I needn't bother as those are how my renegade girl played those scenes out.

Also I played both on PC, you know; the system with all the same bonuses as the xbox and better graphics. I though you guy's were just claiming you planned to 'save' PC gaming, can't do that if you can't bear to acknowledge the platform exists.

One of the chief elements of appeal for any Bioware game is theme/content continuity over a series, or indeed over separate games. There was a great sense of glee for me when certain staggeringly minute actions performed by my avatar in Mass Effect were shown to have left an impression in the sequel... The third installment would be immensely gratifying for my growing character who would then have experienced an entire narrative arc, while making choices that helped shape his (paragon-slanted) persona.

Then again... I only have part-time access to a 360 and still stand by the superior performance of the PS3 as an entertainment device... So for me, uncompressed data, higher resolution, and a few novelty tidbits sound like wonderful conventions for Mass Effect 3.

Of course, it is more than likely that the game will be clocked to run on 360 hardware, so the cross-console release will mean that Sony's horse won't be racing at full tilt, making graphical distinctions between versions quite minute.

Man, EA is really milking Mass Effect 2 for all its worth. Demo, price drop, and now a PS3 port?

I love how microsoft forgot about the PC as a place to play the full series...
Still, I might get the PS3 mass effect 2 and maybe also get both on steam to get the "complete" experience.
