im quiet, tall, 6' 4", nice to everybody, and always sleepy. Thats what people see, but the truth is the almost complete opposite, im loud on the inside always talking to myself, i feel short, and i cant get the feeling of utter despise against everyone off my heart even though i vow not to hate for philosophical reasons, and I feel awake I just lay my head down to not creep anyone out because i stare forward when i think.

I had quite a few people tell me the thought that I was scary when I was in high school and college. I liked that a little bit in high school, but in college I thought the idea was really, really silly. Seriously, I'm (almost) completely harmless.

My face only rarley changes expression, I always look bored or even depressed almost regardless of how I feel.
Also I have bad eyes and they both look in different directions, Which freaks one of my mates out no end,
you see he is highly paranoid to the point when he is sure that people are following him or lying to him without any evidence at all,
So if he sits ahead of me to my right my left eye(the one I prefer to focus with) is aimed forward while my right eye just sort of sits there at an odd angle and he's always convinced I'm staring at him.

The same applys to random strangers on the bus.

Also for some reason people can't tell if I'm joking by the tone of my voice, they always seem to get it wrong though I can't imagine that my deadpan comedy style helps matters.

"Completley outlandish statement delivered deadpan" they think I'm sereious

"honest confession of somthing I've said, done ot feel in a somwhat cheerful voice" I have to convince them I'm sereous.

I'm incredibly quiet and shy until you get to know me and I become (I've been told) rather funny and entertaining.

I only hit on girls that I know yet I'm incredibly insecure about my body. I'm also the only one of my friends capable of growing a serious beard and mustache dispite this I'm quite feminine favouring romance over action and sweets over most other things. I am generally the loudest of all my friends and I am incredibly extroverted but I'm also one of the most introspective.

Someone reminded me of this one earlier, but my real name is not my real name. Misleads a lot of people.
Wait, what? What does that even mean?

I have a remarkably metrosexual/borderline homosexual dress sense, but I'm not gay. Well, not that gay. A little bi, perhaps.

Apparently I look a few years older than I actually am. So it surprises people when I spend all my time acting like a 5 year old.

I am only 19 though I look 23 (other people's words, not mine).
I'm in English, and I want to be a teacher, but I know I'll just end up doing something differently.
I am fat, but incredibly fast on my back (BJJ, not getting raped) and have incredible footwork (as evidenced in my football years).
I can lift as much as/more than the people I know who work out.
I am fat, I am only 5'9, but I could probably whoop your ass in a fight.

I dress normally and act normally, people have no idea that i'm a video game nerd with a taste for heavy metal music.
Me? How am I here already, I don't rememeber...

Oh. You're not me. Stop taking my thing :p
Lol, this is kind of amusing but i shouldn't be surprised that there are people on here who full fill the character traits i described.

Anyhow, a question: Since coming to university i've invariably slipped into the "normal people" crowd, i've never actually been able to make many friends who are quite my sort. Part of me thinks that if i had grown long hair and worn Iron Maiden or video game t-shirts from day one then i may have made friends with people more my type, as they would have been able to see what my interests are just by looking at me, and not assume i'm just another student with normal interests.

It says on your profile that your a student like me, have you had similar problems?
Not especially since my course is geared towards attracting mostly nerds, but I guess I don't really fit within the crowd I actually hang out with, not one of them shares my musical tastes xD there is a metalhead clique but I only occasionally hang out with them. I guess it just depends on how much overlap there is between your degree and other interests. I guess if there's metalheads or gamers on your course just strike up a conversation if you can and get talking to them.
My course tends to attract fairly ordinary people, i guess your either doing something related to games design or maths or physics. At any rate, some say university is all about mixing with people you wouldn't normally associate with anyway.

I didn't realize that your weight and vegetarianism have nothing to do with each other...
People tend to view vegetarians as being thin hippies... sort of like this.

I actually think of Vegans that way

I'm fat... as in very fat so people tend to think that I'm weak and slow. Well, I am kind of slow but I can lift more than anyone I know so they can all go fuck themselves. Also I come across as quiet and very serious most of the time but I'm actually one of the loudest strangest people you could ever hope to met.

Also I have big sideburns which makes people think that... well it makes them think that I have big ass sideburns.

comparing myself to other loser stoners ive seen, i happen to dress an awful lot like them; with the same thematic hairstyle (i wear torn flannels and have hippy hair). so, people assume im a stoner, when i dont even touch the stuff. my face also has serious trouble emoting; as well as my boring monotone voice, which leads people to believe im emotionally dead...which is true, but im not COMPLETELY emotionally dead, just mostly; come to think of it, thats probably just a symptom of that assumption which lead me to never developing any emotional connection with anyone.

im 6ft and have what i affectionately call the "huey freeman scowlface", so people are generally wary of me. people tend to mistake my complete lack of social skills for aloofness and disinterest; which incidentally leaves me with very little opportunity to develop social skills.

also, i have nappy hair, but am as white as the background im typing on; not so much misleading as it is simply confusing though.

I am very faithful and devoted to my religion so I am always thought of as very religious and conservative. In reality I am not that religious (spiritual mostly) and I am very liberal and easy going and accepting.

I am a very quiet, mature, disciplined kind of guy to most people but when you get to know me I am fun and talkative.

People think I grow my hair out to achieve some sort of look. In reality, it's because when I shave my head, people see my hilarious, lumpy skull. :p

I think I come across as rude, or so I've been told, for simply being honest. My social skills suck, and I can't tell how people react, and I'm bad at recognising people, they all look the same to me. I also prefer to be alone, which all got me a reputation of being a snob in high school.

I remember a lot of my teachers thought of me as an honest, responsible student. If only they knew the things I got up to in school. I just have an honest face, which I abuse constantly.

Yes this too but every thinks I'm sad...<.<

Also everyone thinks I'm into death metal and heavy metal just because I have long hair and play the guitar...

I'm not... I like Beck, and the Gorillaz, and Radiohead, and Nirvana, and The Who, and The Electric Six, and Interpol... Other than Metallica I can't think of a single Metal band I've ever gotten into...<.<

To everyone i seem like the most calm, relaxed, and overall carefree person on the planet. I walk with a smile on my face and am always keeping everyone i know happy (or at least i try).

Whats misleading is that i have the most poor social skills on the planet; I almost broke down when i admitted my true feelings to my GF and even had to have advice from another friend of mine about it. Also, under my skin is 16 years of repressed anger and hate. It takes alot to get me mad, but when i do, i fucking lose it, then break down in an emotional wreak again.

My life hasn't been the most "greatest" but i still try to manage
