At least it's better than that insult to mohawks he had before.
As a self-respecting man who is re-growing his elaborate crest, I have to say there is nothing wrong with sporting a Soap-style 'Lohawk' in the transitory phase as the hair returns.
Yeah, but Soap isn't in a transatory phase of growing a crest...
True, I suppose, I think he just has issues to work through.

The assault rifles as well as a few other guns are a bit on the strong side, and the killstreaks are a bit out of control as well.
Have you ever considered that maybe that's because they're shooting bullets, rather than, say, Nerf darts?

Thank fuck for that. Im glad MW2 listens to its community.
and i dont recall cod 4 having so many complaints so near its release date either.
That's because, from what I can see, people expected to have Jesus descend from the heavens and hand-deliver it to them in sexy lingerie. The reason it got so many complaints is because people set their expectations too high. People expected Modern Warfare 2 to be as much of a shock as CoD 4 was when it came out. You can't expect a sequel to have as much bite as the first, because, even though it looks different, and even though things have changed, it still remains the same at the core. Sure, the nuke part and Chernobyl and the multiplayer and everything else in the first might have blew your fucking mind, but you can't critize IW for not doing it again. Lightning doesn't strike twice. And people need to realize, that even though it didn't pack a punch like CoD 4 did, it's still a damn fine game. Hell, it might even be better.

P.S. As Yahtzee said in his Sims 3 review, "If you're going to do something totally fucking amazing, make sure it's the last thing you ever do, because you're going to spend the rest of your life trying unsuccessfully to recreate it under the weight of high expectations and bricks."

Hey now, you start off with a launcher that is perfectly capable of taking stuff down.
Yeah, with 2-3 shots. Except it only comes with one.

And if you didn't get better stuff along the way, what would the point of leveling up be?
I believe the term would be "upgrading sideways", getting more options that aren't stronger, just more suitable for niche roles. Either way I'm opposed to leveling in multiplayer games at all. You're supposed to get better by improving your skills, not by coasting along until the game gives you an advantage by default. Some idiots complained that Section 8 didn't have any level-based unlocks but I think that's what makes it more suitable for competitive play, even at level 1 you can jump in and fight at full power.

Any word on the patch to fix the amount of campers on XBL? Usually I have no problem with campers, but when an entire team does it match after match it gets frustrating.
Play Domination, if they all camp they lose on points. I call campers easy targets, especially with the wall penetration on bullets, I've got my fair share of blind kills on campers just because they were so predictable in their choice of position.

As a self repecting man who has been growing his for a while now I still feel that if a mohawk is to be grown, allow hair to grow a bit longer than that of Soap's before shaving half of it off.

I've never heard the term "Lohawk" before though, only "Brohawk" used to describe the frat-boy types who sport such a hairstyle and don't intent to grow it very much. But if Soap's intention is to grow a full mohawk then he may be forgiven.

There are still enough issues like;

- Lag
Yes the lag is terrible... some times jerking you around like a rag-doll until it switches hosts.
.Warheart said:
- Randomly throwing people in games where you start with a losing condition and lag
I don't think it should count towards your win/lose score if this happens... so many times have I dropped into a game only to move and see the "You lose" sign pop up.

.Warheart said:
- Bullet registration
Shot a guy three times with a sniper rifle and it didn't register... it wasn't like I missed. the guy was standing still and I had the sight right over him. I was so close it could possibly miss. However it didn't register and the guy turned around and killed me.

The same thing has happened with shotguns too. The guy walks right into it and it doesn't register so the guy shoots the shit out of me. The worse is the knife, it goes into him, it plays the sound effect and animation but for some reason it doesn't register so I get knifed.

.Warheart said:
- People being tanks (taking insane damage)
Took three shotgun hits at close range to take on guy out.

.Warheart said:
- Launched grenades disappearing after death
Honesty this has only happened to me a few times it's the normal grenade throws that seem to effect me.

.Warheart said:
- Snipers not 1 hitting people with hits to the head
As a sniper this glitch is a pain in the arse.

.Warheart said:
- Matchmaking parties, throwing party members into other lobbies, or quickly entering/exiting a match
They have a tendency to do this just when the count down is reaching 1... so the game has to balance the teams and reset the counter.

.Warheart said:
- Retarded spawns way to close to you (Yes I've had people spawn 2 feet away to kill me instantly without obstructing their normal spawns)
Once spawned in front of three enemies only to be knifed to death

.Warheart said:
- The amazing stream of 12 year olds who like to use their microphone for earraping the rest.
Got any suggestions on how to fix that?... if only they could fix that... the amount of times I've had to listen to 12 year old's singing down the microphone or screaming.

So yeah MW get fixing.

@Sovvolf We seem to be a few of the persons really taking that into offense.
Lately I've become attached to the FAMAS.. it has a good 3 bullet burst which can kill if aimed correctly, which is surprising given the fact that PC Hosts suck more than any console host for some reason.

Oh and 1upping the fail list:

Host always seems to be given to a Polish whenever there are 11/12 from the Benelux in that match.. right. I have no idea how it picks hosts but with a 120Mbit connection, a quadcore 2,91Ghz CPU and enough RAM and graphical power why shouldn't I get host?

Javelin glitch was fixed awhile ago.

Am I the only one that never really saw a problem with the akimbo 1887's?
Seriously, they were unlocked so late (Level 63) because they were powerful.
You get to use what you earn.
That would be fine for single player. Not so fine for multi.

You want a game where everything is as close to being as good as everything else, so the only deciding factors are the players. That said, you want variety, or the game feels dull. So weapons have to feel different and be original, just not better than any of the other weapons. If new players know they'll be outclassed the minute they start playing for reasons which have nothing to do with skill, why should they? Wouldn't it be discouraging if every time you played a new multiplayer FPS, all the other players had insta-kill nukes they played 60 hours+ to earn, and you had a Glock? Sure, every new player COULD earn their right to equal footing, but why should they have to?

I'm a fan of a game just giving everyone every weapon right off the bat, if multiplayer is a main focus. Let the unlockables be something else. That way everyone can use all the weapons and decide for themselves what they like, and unbalanced weapons can be found and balanced all the easier.

Edit: Forget this. Looks like everyone else is already aboard the UT weapons progression discussion.

I have never had these lag problems people complain of, or these glitches like bullet proof enemies...

Hate to say it guys, maybe it's -you-

Maybe you're playing the console version?

OK, so what does this make now, seven patches in about two months of life?

Jesus Christ IW, get it together.
Compare this to the much better Halo 3 which only had the one major patch that didn't fix anything so much as make the melee system suck less by making it a equal death trade off in the right situation. H3 players know what I'm talking about. I really only MW2 because it's a different experience and unlocking titles and emblems is kind of addicting. x_x

Those glitched lobbies were fun- once. Now I want them to go away.

Some dude who had the gall to try and call out my frustration said, "IW wants these in the game and if you don't like them you can leave because they're not going to be patched,"
I know! It's one thing to exploit a glitch. It's another to be a totally oblivious. There are people out there who *honestly* believe that the private match, javelin, etc glitches aren't bugs. That IW designed it to be this way.

It's hard to understand. But they can't figure out why we are upset about playing on Rust with max players and no limit and no killcam. I wanted to play a fun match of mw2 with friends and not for the purpose of leveling up. It's frustrating. I honestly don't care if some people want to glitch some XP for themselves; but if I want to play a normal match, I don't want to keep getting sucked into their exploits.

18-man FFA on Rust was the most fun I've had playing the damn game.

And they "fixed" it.

Huzzah.
