Oh hey, insecure network based on open hardware gets owned by hackers. Who saw that coming*.
*Apart from Microsoft, who have far too much experience bending over for hackers in the desktop arena, and sensibly tried to lock their hardware down and banpocalypsed people who circumvented the lockdown.

I can remember reading a quote from Rob Bowling saying something like mw1 was full of hackers and he couldn't join 1 server without finding a lowlifer.
So far I have encountered more hackers in this damn game (MW2), than in my whole play time on it's predecessor.

Well you can always tell the cheaters from the non cheaters by the leaderboards(usually) but that javlin glitch pisses me off something fierce! People that cheat online should have their thumbs broken.
Considering Infinity Ward took away dedicated servers and mod support for the PC version of MW2, I view this rampage of console hackers as poetic justice.
This is absolutely awesome I love how people said stuff like this never happens on consoles like people never hack or pirate games on consoles and with this and mass xbox 360 banning I am loving the ignorance with misguided shots at PC gamers awhile ago.
Sounds like they were quite unpleased by the fact that the game had no Zombies mode, and decided to make one for themselves.Greg Tito said:

I don't know about you but hot pockets are pretty dam good, I think I'd go with hot pockets instead of STD ridden sex Nymphs (Did i spell that right?).

Leaderboard hacking is more or less some hopeless guy attempting to re-energize his internet ego. But really this isn't a big deal. There's a helluva lot more glitches, hiding spots, overpowered weapons/perks, and people just taking way too much pride in noob tubing out there in MW2. People who take advantage of this often anger opposing players, therefore making everybody think the multiplayer aspect of the game is awful.
If you legitimately somehow got to the top of any online shooter's leaderboard, which is impossible but anyway, you'd be inaundated with hateful/"oh my gawdz!!11!!one hielpz meh wit mah skillz plox???/?" messages 24/7.
As for me, I own MW2 for my 360. I feel it's sad for anyone to hack or glitch in any way. All I care about is becoming a better player. But i have to admit it's frustrating when people do these things.
I like the game. If you don't, i could care less. It's my money. But seriously you have issues if you think blatant flaming of the game will get you anywhere. Really I believe a lot of people just hate the game either because it's so easy to, they are a troll, or they aren't good at it.

Easy fix. Wipe the leaderboards after they fix the glitch. And then give the finger to the consumers. It isn't IW's or Sony's fault that some dick found a glitch and exploited it. And if this offends so many people good. The more people who get offended by it the better. Cuz the next time some dick finds an exploit and posts how to do it maybe all those people who got offended won't share it all over the god damned internet and report those using it faster. Time for some tough love.
In other FPS's, if you kill yourself with a frag grenade, rocket launcher, jump off a really high building, etc, your kill score goes down by 1. If it's the same with Modern Warfare 2, then it is possible to have negative kills.Greg Tito said:

Nothing new. The COD:WaW leaderboards are all hacked on the 360.
