I admit i did use commando on every other class becaus ei foudn no need for any other tier 3 perks. The no fall damage bonus you got with it was sooo helpful! I hope they move the no fall damage to another perk.

I'd like the removal of ALL perks completely. NO classes, no bonuses, nothing. Just accurate weapons that everyone can use.
Theres already a modes for that in Black Ops. If done right they should implament it into MW3, it was a good mode.

Now I just hope that Last Stand/Second Chance isn't in there. That perk is just so...infuriating. I also hope that they realise that they can actually balance their game this time as opposed to tiny tweaks which do jack shit to help with the utterly giant flaws present in the game.

At least I can now, in theory, play their game without constant fear of some guy flying towards me like the Flash from five metres away and instakilling me.

"which let players make melee attacks from a much greater distance, out of the game"

Hmm I demand to see "Call of the King" a Medival Call of Duty game about swords....

I would enjoy every once in a while just sticking Marathon/Lightweight/Commando/Tac Knife on and not fire a shot to see how many knife kills I could get.

Made it that little more exciting.

I'm okay with one hit kill weapons but when they just hand someone a kill it's bullshit. Which is why I've ALWAYS hated the fucking energy sword from Halo.

If IW listened to every little complaint about this game, there would be nothing in it at all, every single perk, weapon or tactic you use, someone is going to hate. When I play CoD, there isn't a single tactic an opponent can use that you can't counter in some way. (Except spawn killing)

Here's an idea guys, instead of fiddling with specific perks from previous games why not make (and now bare with me because this is a radical idea) an original sequel
And here, I am afraid to say, is where the problem lies.

The multiplayer works well, and redesigning it could cost IW their fanbase. So the best they can do is tweak it to try to improve it while keeping the core mechanics.

OT: A good start. However, it needs to have a bit more of a tightened feel that has been left behind since MW1, rather than just throwing another explosion in.

Just get rid of knives in general and I'll be a happy man.
I agree with this, that stupid knife drives me crazy.

At least make it a two hit kill, this ridiculous ability for players to get accidental kills by squeezing the analogue stick too hard has to go.
thus why I named modern warfare 2, medievil warfare 2 blades>guns WTF?

It was so much better when you could just melee them with the butt of your gun. Stun then shoot.

Well, I definitely consider this a plus, with a few others I know probably thinking the same.

Now if they make the knife only a one-knife kill from behind, and a two knife from the front. Although perhaps with Commando gone it won't be necessary.

Considering these guys are supposed to have armour on, why not just make the knife a multi hit kill weapon. That way there is time to react at least (for the more responsive players), and maybe an armour reduction for marathon people so if someone does get a few bullets out they die alot faster.
Less removing and more making it require a great level of skill to pull off.

Damn. Commando was a bit of hilarious fun every now and then, although it could backfire spectacularly at times and leave you with a 1:10 KD or worse.

I believe this can be summed up as "herp derp, I've never played Modern Warfare 2 before."

Now just need to make sure juggernaught, ghost pro and second chance dont make a reappearance.
I agree with the first and the latter.
But ghost and similar perks are integral to gameplay.
And pretty well balnced as long as they take the place of the more powerful perks.

But overall this is a good thing!
I hated commando.

I liked my knife thank you very much.
And on noob-tubing, I have to use it to unlock my shotgun attachment, when I get my shotgun I wont tube anymore.

I bet youre one of those OMA noob tube UMP 45 tactical knife commando guys. Also known as people no one wants to play with.
that's me in a nutshell. I paid full price for a game and I want to use every part of it. Why comply with whiny unwritten rules if EVERYONE has the option of using what they want? If it's in the game I say "use it".
+ the meelee insta-kill is meant to reward your ability to approach the enemy undetected. in a real-life scenario would you really run next to a guy, stop and THEN stab him? or would you lunge from 3 meters away so he goes down faster (implying commando makes it more realistic)?
That's why I never got angry when I was tubed or knifed, I understand that you cannot control waht people will use, so you might aswell play along.
Now that there will be a new set of perks, apparently designed to bring things to a balanced level, I will still play it and enjoy it, because the game is the same for everyone (except hackers but whatever)...
