first off, P0W3ND!!!! take that MW3!!!

second off, hey if the domain is not taken at the time it's fair game, unfortunately with domain names and registration it doesn't matter if it is YOUR NAME being used and you dont own it. This is something ive learn setting up my website. if i dont pay for my domain name when time is up (or pay before hand) then i could straight up loose that domain name. so quite frankly...sucks for activision.

I'll have 60fps in battlefield 3, i'll also have 64 players. So what advantage does mw3 have again?
well obviously the fine vehicle section or the ability to alter classes on the fly in matches or squad based objectives or the realistic sounds or the likable characters with a nice plot or destructible enviormen-
wait a minute.....

EA won't be laughing when MW3 outsells Battlefield by 10 to 1.

Focus on getting us 60FPS on consoles instead of taking the piss out of a game that kicked your ass last year.
Indeed pretty sad you fell for a publicity line that pretty much says that the game will run at a mediocre frame rate(I do mean for a competitive game snce that was the context). Any e-sport FPS that respects itself runs btwn 100-110 fps, which yes for normal humans like us means nothing but for a pro gamer means eveything(have you never seen a tournament f quake live or Counterstrike?).
You need to read the rest of the thread before making stupid replies. This has been addressed. I've been saying this since long before any Activision rep said it.

.
Yeah, because saying one game sells more than another is being a fanboy... right.

I like both games, I don't give a shit which one does better as long as they're both fun. But Ea shouldn't throw stones when they keep getting defeated in sales, which lets face it, is what both companies care about.

So, what you're saying is this: that no matter how immature and ridiculous BF3 fans act like online, this has no bearing on how they act in game. Okay, fair enough. I will test your assertion by renting BF3. If the community doesn't totally ruin what otherwise looks like an incredible game, I will buy it. This is more or less the conclusion I'd already come to, but fine, you've talked me back into giving it a try. The engine does look sick.

Implying that it's the reason COD feels good to so many people and they keep going back to it.
Tbh. Bad Company 2. And PROBABLY Battlefield 3. Is much better experiences than any CoD game. on the PC.

That's a terrible logic isn't it?

"Man, Quentin Tarantino wasn't laughing in 2009 when Transformers 2 almost quadrupled Inglorious Bastards's box office earnings!"

Problem there lies in the audience, I'd say.

That said, EA could burn down tomorrow, bankrupt completely, to the very last stock, fire every single employee and never touch games again, and this would still have spelled "owned" to Activision forever in history.

I'm not saying EA are the "nice guys", though I hold them as the less of two evils right now, but you gotta admit this is beautiful.

Not really. What do you think EA cares about? Being the 'cool' one or making more money?

That's just awesome. And hilarious. I hope it's not EA...It would be funnier if it were some obsessed fan.

If you read my original post you would see that I said 'on consoles'. On PC Battlefield will stomp COD.

The thing that gets me is "Modern Warfare 4." Look Activision. I like the Modern Warfare series. I liked MW, MW2, and I'm going to like MW3. But 4? Three is going to be about World War 3. Where do you go after that? The world's not going to be able to handle another war. How about we switch to "Future Warfare"? I want some laser guns and space station battles.

Now this, is too funny, I wonder if Activision will copy them and get Bad Company 3?

This could start a trolling war between the two companies.
That'd be awesome! Nothing like a little Red Vs Blue tbh! :D

Yea, I dont trust politicians who run smear campaigns so why should I trust a developer that does. Granted if it is a misled fan so filled with hate for COD that they feel the need to run a private attack on the company, that is kinda their own obsession that they should use some introspection on. Unless of course they got ad revenue and genuinely had a good time hating... Regardless I think it is underhanded and mean despite the fact I don't have much love for COD myself.

No, I'm not hating, I just hate it that this site seems to love hating anything popular, "WELL IT'Z THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN."
1)Yes, the core gameplay is the same, but every CoD has added a nice thing that improves the experience overall. If the gameplay is good, why try to reinvent it?
2)I could say the same thing about BC2, and maybe even BF3. Now, I haven't seen much of BF3, and I haven't played BC2 in a while, but I bet that the core gameplay will remain the same.

It's probably one of those 'domain parkers' that put stuff people don't want to see in a domain so that people who have an interest in it will pay through their noses for it. Never thought I'd see one in a year that begins with 2, though.

Still hilarious.

I love this post so much. You win.
OT:I don't care who did it, as long as someone is stickin' it to the man.

You're assuming they care about making more money than someone else, when in fact I'd say their goal is entirely self-centered.

They don't care about making MORE money than Activision. Not literally. They care about making more money. Always more. If Activision suddenly started making less money than them, they wouldn't care, they still would want to make more. They care about making MORE than Activision about as much as being "cooler" than them.

If this gets them more views, more publicity, more attention, and it will, they win.
