Most absurd gamertags (Or when did THAT ever seem like a good idea)

"I have a large sock" was a funny one. The annoying ones always seem to have sniper in their name. It is actually very highly used with gamer tags even the the people who use them don't use snipers often in their games.

I tend to dislike all names that include numbers or other stuff that would make a name deviate from being considered an "actual name". I guess that's a holdover from my years of playing on WoW RP servers where if you didn't have a "real" name or at least something that could be called a nickname, you got yourself reported. I'm just glad that my names, for some reason, tend to be unique enough to be open on all gaming sites/forums that I attempt to join. :)

Any names based after anime characters are pretty bad.

Also, here is a tip if you are playing Halo or MW2, the person with the funny gamertag or the a gamertag that includes either the word "Dark" or "Angel" will in most cases be really good...sad yet true

A few that come to mind are 'Bumcheeks007', and 'toiletpaperman'. They were both on the same team during a MW2 Team Deathmatch. The coincidence made me laugh.
Another that came to mind was 'urmomma' - so it'd come up with 'You killed urmomma' or 'Killed by urmomma'. That one didn't make me laugh so much...

And just for the sheer randomness, 'I_Like_Cheese' deserves a mention.

A long time ago I saw a gamer tag, "Don't shoot! i'm gay!" But it was a long time ago on the orginal Xbox. But the funniest I ever saw recently was someone named..

"Use Preparation H"

Funny as hell to me!

Pretty much the stupid X's or any amount of numbers. Mine's AdmGlifnMcGl0fn so randomness wise I guess it's good but it's pretty much unreadable. Feel free to try and figure out how to pronounce it you probably won't get it.

[H3O+]Eukaryote. What a dumb gaming handle. Who would name themselves after a type of cell?
That is the BEST DAMN NAME I have ever heard of. I would take it, but it's probably taken. Also, 'Thermostat.'

A friend said to me once, "There's a guy on this server named 'Oops I crapped my pants.'" Really? Old SNL satire commercial if you didn't get the reference, but seriously, someone thought that was a good name?

Well, IMO the many variations of xX_Pr0Sn!pR_Xx take the cake. Normally I don't really care about gamertags (not like mine is any good. I'm GundamSentinel by the way), but when I face people with such names, I actively go hunting for them. The stupid amount of x's combined with selfproclaimed 'pro-ness' and the implication of being a damn camper make my blood boil (not to mention the retarded 1337-speak or whatever they call it these days)... So silly to be so annoyed by something that trivial, but there it is.

The Wii doesn't have this problem. But it does have a new one to replace it.

I own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex (Call of Duty 4 on the Wii), so the console does not check if a name is already taken. This is because of in-game profiles, not Mii's or anything.

The problem is , however, that it doesn't check if a name is taken. I've gotten into a Sabotage match (on Overgrown), where (true story) the entire Spetnaz team was called "your mother". Hell, just recently, I fought a guy whose name was was "MY WENIS".

Because of this, people on the Wii can be quite retarded when choosing a name. However, there are some good ones, because *gasp* there is some shred of creativity left!

Not my name, though. My Reflex name is "Fernando", just like my real name. This is because I had the game before I had it connected to the internet.

On the plus side, id does not support Wii Speak, so you can't listen to those 12-year olds spam curse words at you if you kill them.

I think I met someone on the Halo: Reach beta called GangstaRapper. He kept trying to sprint into Needler fire. It didn't go well for him.
Those gangstarappers, always getting shot.

In CoD4 today, I encountered a person named "lil-titz", seriously, who calls themselves that?
And then we've got those who call themselves things like "JAmS B0nd", yes, I've encountered a guy named that.
And "Teh Noob", despite him being lvl 55 in the final Prestige..
Others I've seen is "Onionman", "Happy_Pakistani", "WarriorUnicorn" and more.

Playstation Network is full of those, I am happy with mine though, no numbers or anything, just DeadlockR.

If you were to ask me what the worst GT I've ever seen is (and you have), I wouldn't have an answer since I've gotten so used to the idiocy of Xbox LIVE and its idiotic seven year olds who think they're hardcore with names like what they have. Maybe XxSN1P3RH1PP0xX is the worst, though. A friend of mine recently changed his to L3G1TXXNOVA, and absolutely everyone thinks he's an idiot. My personal GT is HeThatMangles, an inside joke between my friends and I which has unexpectedly gotten me many complements. In StarCraft 2, it wouldn't fit, so I wound up using Wintastic, a name I think is pretty craptastic, but still better than most.

What annoys me is the number of people who just add random symbols onto the end of their name to 'make it look better'. #"@Chaosbolt@"# is not a good name. As my friend pointed out, it seems like people assume that having a bad name is just what you do.

UnexpectedBackdoorDelivery. Ouch.

And of course my nick ("Ozcar my love" in Steam) creates some sparse laughs while playing L4D2. Give Ozcar my love pain pills.
