Personally a big fan of "Scars of Time" from Chrono Cross and "1000 Words" from FFX2

Also on a related note check out "PianoSquall" on youtube he takes anime and videogame songs and plays them on piano (duh). It's actually quite good.

This is my first thread in quite a while. Quite whimsical too. Oh well.

Basically: rather than going for the standard done-1 million-times approach of "best game OST", I'm going to ask you to show us the most moving, heartwarming/breaking, and beautiful pieces of music you've heard in games.

I thought for a while that this was a piece of music called "Agnus Dei", but apparently it's actually just Adagio for Strings with a chorus. Personally, I think it's more beautiful than the original orchestra. And it's implemented so well... *sniff*

Actually, that is Agnus Dei. Agnus Dei is set to the same music as Adagio for strings. (I am very sure of this, as I've actually sung this in a chorus. yes it was frickin' hard)

Again, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks and all that. I do loves me some of the older Final Fantasy tunes, they just don't really move me in nearly the same manner.

On the censoring by the poster, I agree. Censorship has always been a very curious, if not outright insulting, concession to me, but this instance seemed outright odd...

I think it's pretty safe to say that video game music doesn't suck. For me, I rather like some of the music in Assassin's Creed II and Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

Anyways, any song from ocarina of time is an emotional song for me. Call me lame or what have you but the music from that game will always represent my childhood, haha.
