This is a back and forth between two people:

"I used to be in the Samaritans."
"I know. For one Morning.
"I couldn't take any more."
"I don't blame you. You spoke to five people and they all committed suicide. I wouldn't mind, but one was a wrong number! He only phoned up for the cricket scores!"
"Well, it's not my fault everyone chose that day to jump out of buildings! It made the papers, you know. "Lemming Sunday," they called it."
Red Dwarf?

I've actually used that line before, but I can't remember where it's from...

One of the Fallout games. 2, I think, I remember chosing that dialoge option.

Red Dwarf?
YES! To be honest, I couldn't think of anything really abstract, but Red Dwarf is British, so I thought I'd get away with it... so now I'll just quote a book:

I'm taking out the descriptive lines, (I think people will easily get this

"Quick, you must come with me, you're in great danger!"
"Why?"
"Because I will kill you if you don't."

nope! but you did just list something that references to it(I think 0.o are you talking about the new one or the old one?) also, Clatto Verata Nicto is a direct quote from the thing i'm talking about.

The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I'm guessing it was spoken by Ford Prefect?

Damn, I was going to post a line from this but now I'll have to think of something else!

"I can't stand burnt toast. I loathe bus stations, terrible places, full of lost luggage and lost souls."

Not particularly obscure but one of my favourite (and one of his last) lines.

What I said was from the alien language from the old 50's classic 'The Day the Earth Stood Still.' I couldn't tell you if it was in the new one or not, but Klaatu Barada Nikto was what was written in the original's script.

Well in that case I have no idea if what I'm talking about is a reference to the 50's TDTSS or not, but I can't be sure, either way you still haven't guessed it :p
