Energy Sword.

Grav Hammer propells opponents into the air, but with only enough power to destroy sheilds. So, unless playing Human Tennis, was useless.

But the Energy Sword is always a one-hit kill. And with no stopping power...

What the hell were they thinking adding a gun that can one-shot someone in the freaking toe?

From one of the Total Annihilation Mods - The Buzzsaw

8 Intimidator cannons on a rotating point. Massive range, massive damage, insanely unfair fire rate, it doesn't need to be mobile.

Edit: Actually This:

Rome: Total War.

CAAAAAVAAAAAALRYYYYYYYY!
This. Cavalry archers are near impossible to kill, especially if you have no cavalry yourself. These things could run and shoot at the same time, so they could kill you while keeping at a safe distance.
They carry shitloads of arrows too.
I did a test with cavalry archers, and a whole bunch of them couldn't annihilate a single decent infantry unit before running out of ammo.
Their entire purpose it seems is to be a nuisance and a distraction.

As for normal cavalry, they still work best with infantry in the mix. This is cheaper and with fewer losses.
But doesn't the AI in RTW have infinite ammo?

Anyway, most OP weapon I can think of (that hasn't been mentioned yet) is the Crocodile from Company of Heroes. Imagine a tank, impervious to small arms fire, with a flamethrower instead of a cannon. A flamethrower twice as strong as the regular infantry one. It will evaporate any infantry squads you send at it, and as long as you have a few AT guns backing it up, it can last long enough to retreat from any enemy armor. (Note that I haven't played CoH in years, so it may be less OP now).

Omega RYNO-4-Ever

When fully upgraded to level ten, it was renamed as the Omega RYNO-4-Ever, sporting a maximum ammo capacity of 900, with each laser having 5141 damage, possibly rendering it as the most powerful weapon in the entire RYNO series, due to the fact that if all 900 rounds of ammo were used up, the resulting amount was 4,626,900 damage.

The RYNO IV was often criticized by many players for being vastly overpowered, as it could destroy the last boss of the game, Emperor Tachyon, in a few seconds.

The Flamethrower in Call of Duty World at War. Once you got that beast of a weapon the game became like setting fire to ants with a magnifying glass.
