I know this isn't what the OP is getting at but i am going to say it anyway; emerald weapon from FF7. It took sooooo long to beat especially if you consider all the various bits and bobs you have to aquire to stand even a slight chance of beating it. I know you can mime and counter materia all the way with it to destroy it but i never really considered that an option as it seemed a little like cheating.

The FAMAS from Rainbow Six Vegas 2. This gun is overpowered in the game... Good damage, good accuracy and one of the highest rates of fire than almost every gun in the game. I think only 2/3 other guns beat its rate of fire.

Any weapon in Kingdom Under fire: Circle Of Doom could be overpowered in the game. You can synth all weapons and give them ridiculous amounts of damage (100,000, 1mil, 10mil, take your pick) which meant you could beat the last boss in a single shot.

Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark. One hit kill, shoots through walls, scope lets you see through walls, and it AIMS FOR YOU.
