... Err, making out with my girlfriend on her bed after watching PS I Love You. Even the makeout session was more romantic than that movie. I think.

But she broke up with me the next week, saying she found a guy. Kinda pissed me off, considering she said she was pretty much a lesbian. I swear, we could have made a great, romantic couple though.
Always a ball bash when they say they found someone else. Its like "k thanks for everything but I got someone better now, think of me sleeping with him while you suffer from a depression spike." I havent experinced this personally but I should imagine it would suck to that degree.
Yeah, I was really upset after the first few days. I actually learned from one of my closer friends that she had been leading me on the whole time because in class, she would be all over the guy. But oh well, shit happens, yeah?
Another reason I am single. I could sit here and go into a hate fuelled rant on why girls are evil, play games and are mostly self involved and twisted believing men dont understand them and thinking on THEY have feelings while men are heartless unfeeling entities but this is a romance thread and I want it to be a happy place where heartbreak is welcome so as to be healed.

So yeah, what a *****. Here's hoping the dude gives her herpes and breaks up with her a week later after her herpes becomes public knowledge at your school / college / place of education.

Well, I'm not that evil... Usually my girl or boyfriendsfriends beat me too it. But thanks for that last bit. Really made me grin and laugh, and if I see her before I move, herpe is all I'll be thinking about when I look at her.

Camping with my girlfriend took the canoe out to the middle of the lake and had an evening nap, just the two of us..

Wanted to stay but the bugs became too much to handle, and we had drifted a bit away from our camp

Not sure, but they've all been with my best friend/romantic interest. Either going out on a Midnight walk around the University Campus with her and sitting down under the stars or cuddling up to each other after watching TV in my room. Or that time we lay down on the grass in the sun. Or dancing with her at that foam party.

I have no idea why she is still not my girlfriend...
Maybe she's waiting for you to make the first move? Girls don't iniate the relationship they just create the opportunity =P
She knows I like her. I've told her, and she knew anyway. She likes me as well but is still not going out with me, because she is convinced it would fall apart and then we wouldn't be friends anymore. It's basically like being friend zoned except the girl actually has feelings for you which makes it all the more confusing and frustrating.

I feel like I've ran a marathon, got to the finish line, only for someone to kick me in the balls.

There's a huge lighthouse at the end of a set of cliffs over the Bay of Fundy. For those of you who dont know, the Bay of Fundy has the world record for the highest and lowest ocean tides.

Anyways, middle of a thunder and lightning storm standing at the edge of the cliffs kissing with my girlfriend at the time. complete and utter epicness.

Whos says romance is dead? especially to internet nerds like us?

Just be careful not to walk past her in the street and greet her by saying "Hey whats up herp.... erm... Yeah...."

Ah see now that sounds really peaceful. Two lovers floating gently on the water, drifting quietly together. Then the bugs come and chow down on you... anti climax? perhaps but its an ending after all.

God dammit Shaun. Just as I was getting back into actually being interested in dating you come along and remind me why all girls are not to be trusted and thus my raging cynism on why relationships are just a waste of time, money and effort otherwise invested in my Xbox 360 getting my Modern Warfare 2 Rank up or completing games for my Review segment.

Ah well, continue with the love! There is hope for this dark and miserable world as long as people can keep posting how not all relationships end with a tragic heart break for one person that leaves them weeping in shadows!

You're not alone, my friend.

An almost romantic story - A girl who I was dating, and deeply cared about, and I were on a hilltop overlooking a stream and some fields once, though, and we were about to kiss, when she pulled back and whispered, "Alex, I don't think I care about you as much as I thought I did". Then she left. I sat on that hilltop for another hour or so, just staring across the landscape, before I finally packed up and went home. It was not a good day.
Shit man.... that blows....

My amazing vocabulary aside, I have a similar story. This girl (who was, and still is, one of my best friends) and I were hanging out at a bowling alley with some other friends. Later after everyone left as we were talking, I felt a connection. Anyways I leaned in, and kissed her. I thought I was in, but after the kiss she says "Joe.... I can't do this. I have a boyfriend."

So we decided to just be friends. We're to different and it works out better this way (I'm an Atheist, and she's a Christian. Not the crazy, Bible-thumping kind, but she's still abstinent)

Mm... The better part of my time in Illinois was romantic. But the funniest/sweetest romantic moment was:

I got picked up from the airport by some female friends. They called my boyfriend and told him that they demanded a small seedless watermelon, or he wouldn't be allowed to spend any time with me. I laughed, because I didn't think he'd get one (mid-May isn't exactly watermelon season).

The group of us was at TGIFriday's waiting for him and another friend to show up. He walked into the restaurant and my heart skipped a beat. The girls had me sandwiched so I almost didn't get up to hug him, but our mutual friend shoved me out and into his arms.

Mid-hug, the same friend realized he hadn't brought the watermelon in with him, and demanded he go out to get it. I went out with him, holding hands and chatting a little.

When we got out to his car, he turned to me and leaned down to kiss me, slow and sweet and gentle. It was the best first kiss of my life, and the ones that followed were just as good.

And when we finally broke apart? He turned and opened his car door... and inside, strapped in securely with a seatbelt, was a small seedless watermelon.

It's so goofy and silly, but it is the most romantic gesture I've ever seen from a guy, and it sums up my boyfriend perfectly. :)

Sad thing is, this girl was beautiful, smart, fun to be around, a bigger gamer than me (and that's saying something), outdoorsy... We had so much in common. Dunno where it went wrong.

I have to say this thread made me make an account just to comment on it. I have been a romantic, or tried to be, for the better part of my 21 years. I have many fond memories of women with whom I have shared some of those special moments with. I'd love to swap stories back and forth with those of you who have them, but to stick to one....hmm...ok, how about the time I walked 45 minutes across 2 busy roads to reach my (no ex) girlfriend's house, and too tired to finish the trek to her door, I sit next to her car, call her, and tell her that I think I left my cup in her car last night and I need her to check for me. She comes out of the house, looking 13 kinds of annoyed, sees me, has an almost anime level freeze frame moment, before going back into her house, with my staggering behind her, only for the two of us to fall cuddling each other on her sofa. That was a very peaceful afternoon.

[To actually happen.]

Though I did have lunch with someone, but they are currently going out with someone at the time which was hilarious.

Probably when I lost my virginity to some one whom I loved so intently. I'd say that was the most romantic moment in my life.

Or maybe our first kiss (With the same person), it was like a Movie. It was a summer day, and we kissed under a blossom tree, and held each other ofr about half a minute, but it seemed like a liftime; I didn't want that moment to end. I had been with other people before that, but it was the most romantic kiss I've ever had.
