Probably teaching you basic mechanics.Shadowstar38 said:The crobar/wrench/any melee weapon they give me in an FPS before I actually get a gun. Whats the point?

Remember this, my young Padawan - everyone can pull the trigger of Big, Bad Weapon of Mass Destruction and call himself Max Overdose afterwards, but true warriors o' Wastelands are capable of slaughtering Mutant Behemoth with butter knife. ;PPZF said:I used the fatman for FO3 all the time.

Yep. It was about as effective too.EHKOS said:Didn't Just Cause 2 have a bubble gun too?Ordinaryundone said:The Bubble Gun from Earthworm Jim 2. I honestly think it didn't do ANYTHING. Other than be funny.
Other than that, Growl and the various other "lowers defense/attack" moves in Pokemon. Outside of a very few specific situations, there is nearly always a more effective or useful move choice. I deliberately didn't choose Splash because, honestly, its too obvious.

to be honest, this applys to almost all 'hot-key' MMOsIrisEver said:Skill, in World of Warcraft.
You don't need it at all.
Is that a weapon? Probably. If it counts, this.Shane McCay said:The splash attack from the pokemon series.
END OF TOPIC.
As someone who always plays as a melee character... I disagree. Although I did end up using a fair bit of magic (ice storm + shock), but then I'd run around smashing faces with a hammer while all the enemies are having seizures.MrRetroSpectacles said:Anything other than the use of magic in Fable 3 was utterly pointless. Hold down one button and clear or decimate ten enemies at once, or spend ten minutes firing a slow reloading flintlock at wolfmen that can dodge any attack. Oh and here's a sword/axe, just because we think you'd look cool.
I dunno. I find submachine guns to be incredibly powerful in CoD:MW2. A suppressed H&K UMP .45ACP is ridiculously effective at all ranges, and the H&K MP-5K with Steady Aim makes a great rushing weapon since you'll never even need to bother with iron sights.Mauso88 said:CoD shotguns, smgs, lmgs and sniper rifles. Assault rifles have the power, range and accuracy to outgun any of them.
Wait what?! You mean you could use that thing outside of HELIOS 1? I've done 2 epic playthroughs and I never knew that, I remember thinking, "wouldn't it be cool to use this out side of HELIOS 1." but apparently I always couldtwistedmic said:For me, the Archimedes orbital laser cannon was pretty damn useless. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome to see it fire, and cool to know that you just called in an orbital strike, but the single use you got each day wasn't all that effective. It might be able to kill a few Fiends or Powder Gangers, but I could deal with them with a few shots from a scoped rifle (modded out Hunting rifle or Varmint rifle). And it hardly did anything against Radscorpions or Death Claws.
Play with Mart's Monster Mod and say that. The FatMan was essential with that mod.JesterRaiin said:FatMan from Fallout 3.
It causes "save for later, never use" syndrome. :|
