MW2: AC-130 or Chopper Gunner

I prefer neither to be honest since I don't like being sat around like a lemon waiting for someone to come up behind me and get medieval on my ass while I'm staring at a laptop.

I usually carry a Stinger as my secondary weapon but I do have a problem with the fact that it makes you so damn easy to see from afar (seeing as the launcher is actually bigger than the person carrying it).

I prefer the AC 130. I usually get more kills when using the chopper gunner, but the AC 130 is definitely more intimidating.

Tried both once and I prefered the Chopper gunner. Mostly because I managed to get much more kills with the chopper and that AC-130 has a more limited timeframe.

Chopper gunner,i usually SUCK with AC130's and most of the time i can kill people in buildings with them and no need to reload with the chopper gunner,but in wide open maps the AC130 0WN'S

I like the chopper gunner, as I seem to get more kills with it. However I also like the AC-130. I just feel so Powerful when I'm using it. Like some sort of metal giant bird thing, raining fireballs....sorry lost my train of thought. So yeah in a way I like both equally, the chopper gunner for it's killing abilty and the AC-130 for it's awesomeness.

I've gotten both, and I prefere the chopper.

Nonestop chopperfire makes it harder for the enemy team to get stuff done. Sure they could have cold blooded, but chances are they don't have a rocket with them on it, its likely in hardcore, but not very likely in normal Team Deathmatch.

Bullcrap it doesn't! I once counted. Nine games running my Harrier was shot out of the sky without a single kill, and I see a killstreak reward go flying down every damn game since they made lawn chairs not replace Perk Slot 1 and thus fucked up a little bit of the balance.

Yeah, but thats a Harrier, an AI controlled gunner, and no flares.
A human gunner is much different.
And after 1 rocket you can see the smoke trail and find the dude with the rockets.

Plus, harriers are pretty easy to destroy anyway.

I once called in a Pave Low from a Care Package and it was taken down immediately in one rocket. It is a 9-Kill-Streak Chopper with armour. And I once took out a Chopper Gunner with a clip and a bit from an RPD. Killstreaks are too easy to take down, but in that respect they also get some pretty unfair kills.

well, the AC-130 is good at taking out a group of people when they are close together, but the chopper gunner has a lock on making it easier to hit people......I'm going to have to go with AC-130 because of it weapon variety and the view of the entire map.

I prefer the AC130 because I just get more kicks out of it, but I always seem to get it in maps where it's almost completely useless thanks to buildings and such..

I also happen to think that being an AC130 gunner would be the best job in the world.

why chose? use both & almost guarantee a nuke afterwards, unless they REALLY decide to go AA, but you use AC 2nd, as it's harder for that one guy with CB to take care of.

I'd say take the AC-130, just because it's harder to take down and if one gun runs out, you swap to the next one!

In my experience, the Apache (chopper guner) has always been better than the AC-130, max kills i've got with the AC-130 is probably around 15, whereas I went from 20-2 to 42-2 using the chopper gunner All you need to do is find the enemies spawn and unload, get soo many kills, and no reloading helps too.

I'll take chopper gunner any day, I usually get around 20 kills in a map that isn't completely full of buildings (skidrow), while I only get maybe 10 kills with the AC-130.

Only plus side of the AC130 is that it's harder to shoot down due to the 2 sets of flares.

Pretty sure it's an apache as they shout 'Enemy apache incoming' when it's called in.

exactly! aswell, Chopper Gunner moves around everywhere and you are limited to your aiming. AC130 does require reloading but has 3 seporate weapons so you are never sitting there waiting.

Some great killstreak ideas are:

Preditor Missle - 5 kills
Harior Strike - 7 kills
AC130/Chopper Gunner- 11 kills,,

Preditor Missle should get you to 7, if not get one mroe kill,, Harrior will easily get you to 11 kills, the airstrike part could get you up to 5 kills, if none, the harrior alone will get you 4, if not 3 make 1 kill easy.


Preditor Missle, Harrier Strike, AC130/CHOPPER GUNNER -- Try it out!!!
