Honestly, the gameplay looks a little unbalanced. It seems to rely on knocking your opponent down and then wailing on them while they have little chance to counterattack, which is only fun when you're the one unleashing the fury.

I can't be the only one instantly nauseated by all of this pony business. I can't say what it is, but it hits my gag reflex every time.
I doubt that's all there is to it. The footage was just to show off some of the game physics for juggling and the like. As with most 2D fighters, I imagine a lot of those combos to be cut short by tech maneuvers. After all, the game is still in Alpha. There will be a lot more messed around with to balance things out even if it is currently unbalanced. Although seeing Applejack stomp someone into the air without ever touching them directly is going to be highly entertaining when it connects.PureIrony said:

To make the character ever more ridiculous, she should have an incredibly overpowered special attack to even out the rest of the suckines. Making Derpy the most "noob"ish character/class since the Pyro.
