Ben Dover, hehehehe.
I also met someone called richard balls. 'twas awesome

Also the composer to 300's music, Tyler Bates. Knowing that he was at one point in his life Master Bates is just fantastic.

Not what you asked for but I have to post it. I was researching for school today and found out about a famous scientist called Sir Francis Bacon.

I find names like Apple, Harper 7 and etc. funny, they're not names. They're just words. Or if someone is named after a value like Hope, Faith or whatever and stripper names like LaGuisha or Yolanda...

Werid combinations for first names like Nicholionel or some thing. What the hell.
Hang on. So Nicholionel is a combination of Nichole and Lionel, right? But one's a female name and the other male. Is Nicholionel a hermaephrodite? If not, what gender would one possibly associate with Nicholionel? Also, where does the accent fall, it being two names and all? Is it Nichólionel or Nicholíonel? My mind is not equipped to intuit the answers to any of these questions.

OT: Makimbe Umbutu. Because of a comedy sketch from the old comedy show "not the 9 o'clock news" which was quite funny. I think that was the name in that sketch, anyway.
I would suggest it's more likely a portmanteau of Nicholas and Lionel.

My example was Nicholas and Lionel, but yeah, I see your point. :p

I knew a girl called Russia. When I heard that was her name my initial reaction was shock and "why!?" and I had to think of how to keep a straight face whenever I talked to her rather then one of awkward confusion.

What was the real name of Cassidy from Preacher? Proinsias?
Sorry, people of Ireland, but I can't take this name seriously.
Well you can blame the French for it.

Any male who has the second name Bates and is under the age of 18, Richard Head, MaGee and basically any name a celebrity gives to their child.

Depends where you're from, I suppose.

In NA, it's considered a predominantly female name, while here in Europe, it's equally used for both males and females.

Hell, I know more guys with the name Ashley, than women.

New age-y kinda names, like "Sapphire". Plus names like "Hope" and "Faith".

Ashley too. Becuase it's my Dad's name, and whenever someone says it, I whisper "Ashley's a girls name".
He's getting pretty annoyed. :p

I knew someone whose name apparently translated into some language as "soap".

Also, Steele Sidebottom.

Clark. Now, don't get me wrong, but really... Back when Clark Gable was the bee's knees, people in Sweden named their kids this. Only they didn't quite get the pronunciation, so... Slark, basically. TRY saying that with a straight face. :D

Jonny English. That's the actual name of one of my friends.

Ooh, the mayor of London's full name: Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. That one gives me hours of enjoyment.
