Hmm true... I mean the first game had a basic idea of flag hunting. Just plonk that into an online multiplayer setup and you're done, right?molester jester said:You could easily pull off capture the flag and search and destroy types of games. Street race's and competitions to see who can assassinate the target first would also work quite well, but i don't think death matches or team death matches will be making an appearance
Ever played Team Fortress "Defend the Civilian"?Boneasse said:That has me puzzled aswell, I have to admit.Daggermonkie said:how does multiplayer work in a game about assassinations? Will you just play minigames with the other players?or will there be a co-op play?

Also we're assuming it's competitive and not co-op.
I got it on Day 1 (I have the game on the PS3, you see). I actually like it. It's basically a stripped down version of the first game. My complaints are towards the camera and difficulty curve of the game. That and Altair's voice actor's radically different.sln333 said:I bet it's going to be a largely multiplayer game. AC 2 was Altair's single player story. We don't need another one. I'm guessing it will be a short story like Bloodlines was for Altair. Hopefully it will be better; I didn't get Bloodlines, but the reviews were bad.
Considering Assassin's Creed II's open world is radically different from that of GTA IV, how will they manage the maps and in-game geometry? They really need to scale it down big time, let alone have enough for multiple players.SadisticDarkling said:I know alot of people think how the hell could multiplayer work but I've imagined a game mode called VIP to be pretty cool.
In other words:
1 player or VIP and maybe 8+ players playing soldiers who must defend the VIP from other Assassins that consit of maybe 4-5 players or something.
Bit like GTA IV's multiplayer mode.
Just a thought though.
Apart from that fat American accent he sports while strolling through the medieval Holy Land.Monkeytacoz said:Ezio again? .... no thanks i thought Altair was cooler
