Amazing they left out the name of the game or even a little two second clip telling you they're advertising a game.

I think whoever looks for Tekken due to this commercial will be disappointed. Because last I remember Tekken is not a penis stroking.

I wonder what the girls are thinking. "This is for Brawling Bikini Bimbos 7: The Movie right?"
"Nah, it's for a video game."

And an abrasively written opinion too. Bravo. You're exactly what you're harshly criticizing.
Uh oh. Someone's a Tekken fan. ;)

Well sex sells and since the main audience of Tekken are male, sex will do its job well.
While I understand what you mean, this isn't sex, this is what people DEPRIVED of sex go to. >_<

Not saying I wouldn't play the game or enjoy the video, but I REFUSE to buy a game because they show hot girls wrestling.

The film industry isn't any worse. Just remind a movie snob of that next time they insult video games and you will probably find yourself winning that argument.

It's viral marketing and it's been proven to work countless times on all mediums. This "news" was just editorialising.

And just when I thought Tekken had forgot about us half naked women lovers /sarcasm

OT: I agree. I can't have conversation with a non-gamers with out it being implied I play so I can see virtual boobs.

Although this is the first I've actually seen of this kind of marketing from Tekken, I hope they don't stay this course. I'd prefer something more involving the actual game.

Great. This does great things for the reputation of gamers everywhere. Now we're a bunch of frat boys who think of nothing but sex.
The worst part? This will sell a lot of copies either way. And then the marketers will call it a success and the trend will spread. And there will be more games that I have to hide from the view of my family so they don't think I'm a perv.
But complaining about video games exploiting women for money is redundant so I'm just going to go cry in a corner and add Tekkan 6 to the list of games I'm currently boycotting (which is getting pretty big...).

Is that what the kids are calling it these days? When I was young we referred to it as pandering to the lowest common denominator.

*Is mildly aroused*

Still, I'd never have of guessed that ad was for Tekken 6. Where's the actual game that's being advertised here? All I'm thinking of is slow motion titties.

What is wrong about this is it makes us gamers look like loners, nerds (okay we are but still), perverts (again some of you are), people who will NEVER get laid EVER and of course this makes us look like sexists. Again some of you are, and if thats the case I want the next woman around you to say MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN SANDWICH YOU LAZY *PROFANE*

Anyways this AD makes us all look like creepy loners and really for most of us that isn't the case so I agree this AD is borderline retarded stupid.

I just laughed when I saw this. I like how some people are so stupid to think other people are also stupid, so they put sex related ads thinking they're geniuses.
And it barely wasn't even related to the game.

What...

What did that have to do with Tekken?
Like, At all?

I mean beyond that there's the age old question "Why are is there another Tekken game coming out anyway?"

But right now the issue is this.

WHY?

Perhaps it's just me being a full grown man with access to the internet, but this commercial fails in every single respect. I'm not turned on... like I said I have the internet, this is tame in comparison to anything I'll find when googling the words "girl fight" with safe search off. Does it sell the game? What game? I didn't even see a freakin' screen shot from the game this is supposed to be selling.

Namco, leave the brain dead T&A marketing to Team Ninja.

I want to say something witty or funny here, but I can't think of anything. Shame on the people who are responsible for this and shame on those who are actually swayed by this commercial. One day our entertainment medium will be taken seriously, but that day is a long time off and even longer so now that this commercial is out there for all to see.

Oh no slow motion girls in underwear! The future of gaming is doomed! Now they'll realize we're all nerds!

You're not a nerd for just liking girls. You're a nerd for liking girls with brain implants that have bluetooth and wi-fi. And they're from phobos.

I know I am a nerd.

Its kinda sad because if I remember correctly, Tekken doesn't even have that many scantily clad women. I mean theres like two of them in the whole game. This is false advertising at its worst. I would understand if it was a Dead or Alive game, but...Tekken?

I'd be more annoyed by the damage advertising like this does to the whole "Games are Art" argument, but then I remember that it's an ad for Tekken. Which is a fighting game, and therefore not a candidate for the "Games are Art" argument whatsoever. At best fighting games might have some poorly thought out explanation for why the random quirky people have to hit each other for our amusement, but honestly, fighting games are basically just gameplay and not much else [small](this is not an insult to fighting games, as they are quite fun)[/small].

This advert certainly doesn't help matters much, but at least it's not for a game with an actual chance of overcoming the perception that all games are frivolous diversions for immature young men.
