I'm going to guess that you didn't play Fallout two. That is not what the vaults were for. And the President went to oil rig.Hectix777 said:Well for one, thing I'm pretty sure that not only the President or his descendant is still alive, but I also find it easy to believe that the US may have commissioned the construction of one giant vault that could hold tanks, a giant city populous, comm network, probably over 1 million people, etc. I'd like to play a Fallout where you are asked to find other vaults and begin to rebuild the USA.
The end boss, that's what. *crai* Those things are nasty!JacobShaftoe said:Oh crap you just made me think of South Africa in the Fallout universe... OT: As much as a Fallout: London would be awesome, it just wouldn't be "Fallouty." There would be no BoS, (probably) no deathclaws, no Enclave, no FEV supermutants, no vaults etc. The list goes on. I'd like to see one that returns to Chicago and its environs, see how the Midwestern Brotherhood is getting along.
Also instead of Deathclaws....Mutant Badgers...
Do not want.
Sadly I think Britain is the only other place the 50's Fallout vibe would work....Nuka Cola and suchlike.sithdestroya said:well britain is gone i just popped off the map

You can't just create a Fallout game set in Europe without giving a good reason as to why there are people or civilisations there, Bethesda didn't give a good enough reason for the BoS being in Fallout 3 or the Super Mutants.
Fallout 3 already fucked up the lore and made Fallout stupid and "for teh lulz and lootz". I know I personally never want to see that again, that is why the Wild Wasteland trait was made. Also if you can't be bothered to look up the Fallout history and storyline and know why a game couldn't be set in England then you shouldn't be making comments like these, it isn't us being patronising, you're just being ignorant of Fallout lore.

The FEV was contaminated to the point its useless.xXxJessicaxXx said:Theres no reason why vault tec couldn't have come across the big channel 1950's London culture was heavily influence by American music and trends largely due to being allies in the war. 2. Vault tek was expensive, and Europe thought it was better to raid the Middle East for oil than to spend on Vault Tek. Even if they didn't go to war, they would never be able to afford vaults in any sense of the word. Europe thought in the short term, America thought in the post nuclear term. In fact, America counted on it.
