First of all I want to see the mechanics improved, like better shooting mechanics, animations etc. If I get that, i'll be pretty satisfied... and please, remove most of the bugs and gltiches before releasing it.

Set it in London and release the DLC for free. Also more transport would be nice.
Actually get rid of that sickly yellow tint everything had in New Vegas as well.

Fallout: London is what I want, while I have nothing against America I think that gaming is becoming "Americanized". If there was a Fallout: London I would have to do without the BOS and Vaults but I am sure I would live.

Edit: Seems someone already beat me too the idea, Damn you sir, damn you.

Well in fallout:3 if you go to megaton and talk to nathan he states that america might be the only country in the world.i don't know if that is true or not but i think because they put that there the are hinting at the series being an all American wasteland exploration. but in one of the games they should have a point where those useless HAM radios are actually used and allows you to talk to a group of ghouls(since i am pretty sure that other countries didn't take the same vault-tec approach as America did)that survived the great war and in part of the main quest you then find the parts to build a scrap part plane to travel over there do quests for them for something(remember this is just an idea)Oh and it should be set in florida i mean have you guys heard of people buying exotic pets and then releasing them into the wild when they got too big. Now imagine a mutated crocodile and boa constrictor all in the same game. And maybe even an underwater vault and maybe a rodent mount bigger than a mole rat (because of the gambian pouch rat infestation in the keys) i mean that would be awesome

They badly need a change of scenery. D.C. was a good choice it had lot's of epic monuments and locations, it was really cool to battle a super mutant behemoth in the capitol building. But new vegas was boring and The Strip was completely underwhelming! Fallout london would be amazing, less wide open spaces, more tunnels and well designed buildings. Some new factions would also be cool and perhaps less "One big faction versus another big faction". And please, please put in join-able guilds or factions. It pissed me off that even after i had given the NCR the whole of nevada i was still an "outsider". It would've been awesome (in my opinion) to start as a lowly soldier and slowly work my way up to a high position.

I say they go to the institute which is supposedly in Massachusetts
Why?

Because I'm from Connecticut and want to see if I would recognize anywhere I know, plus that place sounds awesome

i like where you are going with this and in the up coming games they should have two or more conflicting groups and you do a right of passage quest (kinda like in honest hearts DLC for new vegas) and then you join them and improve your rank in the society by doing quests and the opposing forces hate you (you know because of balance issues)and the whole world idea isn't bad it would just be really time consuming on the programmers side and the players side so i am thinking of like a Continent by continent game advancement system like for example: Fallout North America And Fallout Europe. Then it would be less time consuming and less stress on the operating system. And if they have plasma casters and gatling lazers they should at least have some sort of vehicle like a mount or a scraper car and it was have to cost some serious caps though like 10,000 caps or something but its just an idea so suggestions are welcome.

Personally i like the idea of moving outside of America but there is parts of America id like to play for instance.

"The brotherhood out west": I would like to see these people and see how truly different they are from the brotherhood in fallout 3 and the outcasts in fallout 3

The rest of the world: Indeed there is a world out there! what happened to it? who knows make some DLC like if the next fallout was in a big city and the airport still worked could get a plane up and running and put a DLC add on or a new game where you can enter a plane that someone has fixed and travel to another part of the world like as mentioned London was it just America that got nuked?.

More enclave sort of heavy parts of the usa: One thing I really missed in New Vegas was the enclave were gone and the brotherhood were confined to a bunker the enclave were just a mention among the NCR who may have integrated some of the enclave. There was just no feel of the enclave anywhere in the NCR and i would like to see more enclave heavy parts of the USA like i would like to see more brotherhood heavy parts of the USA.

That's about it for now on destinations but there is more i would like to see like maybe when experiencing advanced radiation poisoning you could be in danger of mutating into a ghoul and if further exposed turn into a glowing one. Super mutants as much as i can gather from playing fallout 3 Super mutants are attracted to radiation and its like an aphrodisiac for them or something similar high radiation zones seemed to create them like in one of the vaults you had to enter in fallout 3. apparently the master created the first generation of super mutants but how did he do it? what causes them to turn? and why is the second generation of super mutants different from the first? something must have been done because as i recall in new vegas listening to black mountain radio signal the first generation are prone to wandering and are known to be unintelligent but second generation are intelligent. I would also like to be able to become or play as a nightkin increced sneak and agility but take a charisma penalty.

I would like to see new companions too like robots better than a Mr Gutsy or an Enclave Eyebot id like to have something bigger with maybe a tad more firepower like a secureitron or a new kind of robot rob co must have many many more models than we have been shown so far. Other new companions instead of a Dog you could have the likes of a mole rat a rad scorpion or something be able to find a tame one some crazy out there in the wasteland must have managed.

One last thing i would like to see in fallout that may or may not have been thought of a mental stability bar and items to help control it make it a new factor so good mental stability would have add perks to factors such as speech and bartering as well as intelligence the more mentally unstable you are you gain in strength and agility.
that would be the FEV virus a.k.a the forced evolutionary virus and there are two versions and here they are with there history directly from the Vault website :West Coast mutantsEdit West Coast mutants sectionEdit
Main article: Mariposa super mutant

The Mariposa super mutants are a variety of super mutants common on the West Coast and in the Midwest that originated from the Mariposa Military Base in California. While some of them can be rather stupid, in general they are more intelligent and civilized than their distant Vault 87 cousins in the Capital Wasteland. Their skin is also darker than that of their east-coast counterparts.
HistoryEdit History sectionEdit

Marcus, Sheriff of Broken Hills
Super mutants were first created on the West Coast by Richard Grey, also known as "The Master", who led the first human survivor expedition to Mariposa Military Base in 2102. When the expedition was attacked by the base's automated security robots, he was dipped in a vat filled with mature FEV virus in solution, and managed to crawl out. The FEV was initially meant to be injected into humans, but Grey soon found out that direct physical contact with its nutritional medium worked just as well. He began to mutate in horrible ways, turning into a fleshy, tentacled blob of sentient matter. The mutated form of Grey developed psychic powers, which were enhanced by consuming living minds to expand his own psionic strength. Slowly, as other wanderers from the Wasteland made it into the Mariposa Base themselves, Grey started performing his own experiments with the FEV. Grey ? who now called himself "The Master" ? lamented the needless destruction of human society caused by the Great War. In his warped state, he decided that he would have to force humanity to evolve beyond its innately destructive tendencies. If everyone could be as perfect as his evolutionarily advanced super mutants, the Master reasoned, there would be no more conflict in the world. Those who would not evolve would be forcibly sterilized and allowed to live out their lives in peace, though without the ability to pass on their imperfections to the next generation[1]. Around the year 2155, the Master began seeking out uncontaminated, pure strain humans with which to create new mutants and build the super mutant army he required to carry his plans to fruition.

A Mariposa super mutant in Fallout: New Vegas
In 2162, a person known to history only as the Vault Dweller destroyed the Master's mutant army by causing an explosion in the FEV vats at Mariposa, which collapsed the entire base, after which he proceeded to The Cathedral in the ruins of Los Angeles and killed the Master. Without the leadership of their creator and his lieutenant, the mutants divided into at least three factions. Some decided to leave California and find a place for themselves somewhere in the East, while a second faction wanted to continue the Master's work and dominate the Core Region once again. A third faction remained in the Core Region and tried to make peace with the Wasteland's humans, and worked together with them to rebuild the world after the Great War. Broken Hills is the most notable example of a settlement where humans and super mutants have learned to live together in peace.

The faction of super mutants that traveled eastwards eventually settled in the Midwest, forming what was known as Gammorin's Army, and many of them eventually ended up joining the Brotherhood of Steel.

In 2236, the Enclave, the remnant of the pre-Great War American federal government, discovered the remnants of the Mariposa Base. Soon, Enclave assault squads combed the desert for slaves they could use to excavate the military base and get to the FEV vats. In 2237, having obtained the necessary data and samples to recreate the FEV, the Enclave abandoned the site after more mutations occurred among Enclave personnel exposed to the FEV remnants in the facility, causing a second generation of Mariposa super mutants to arise. The Enclave left a single squad behind to wipe out the super mutants, but the mutants, using armaments they had cached in the base during the excavation, reduced the squad to ashes after suffering heavy casualties. The remaining 1st and 2nd generation super mutant slaves were sealed inside the base by Enclave sappers, who collapsed the entrance to the ruined facility. Inside, the mutants formed a new community.

By 2281, some super mutants from both generations have established a community called the State of Utobitha in Black Mountain near New Vegas. The smarter and more organized Master's Army remnants are in charge of the dumber second generation mutants. Some other, more peaceful mutants reside in Jacobstown.
East Coast mutantsEdit East Coast mutants sectionEdit
Main article: Vault 87 super mutant

An East Coast super mutant
By 2277, the super mutants had also appeared on the East Coast of the United States. These super mutants were created in the Evolutionary Experimentation Program, the experiment which had been assigned by Vault-Tec and the pre-Great War American government to Vault 87 as part of the clandestine Vault experimentation program. The heavily modified strain of FEV which created these mutants resulted in a new strain of super mutants which, in addition to becoming sterile, grow much larger and stronger as they age. They are different from their Core Region counterparts as they are green-yellow in skin color and less intelligent. Every super mutant's facial expression is permanently set in a sneer. However, unlike their counterparts, they are even less like pure strain humans, and after the transformation no clues on how they looked in their former lives can be found. They take human prisoners across the Capital Wasteland to transform them into more super mutants by injecting them with the FEV still found in Vault 87. Just as on the West Coast, the by-product of the Vault 87-based creations are the hideous chimeric mutants called Centaurs, who act as watch/attack dogs for their super mutant masters.

HistoryEdit History sectionEdit

During exploration of Vault 87, information from a computer terminal reveals more about the process of mutation that super mutants go through, at least when it comes to the specific modified strain of FEV found in the super mutants of the Capital Wasteland. As a human mutates, its muscular and skeletal systems develop rapidly, while their mental faculties diminish. Most secondary sexual characteristics are eliminated, transforming the subject into an almost asexual state.

Despite their general lack of intelligence (even when compared to the least intelligent of the West Coast super mutants), they are somehow able to organize themselves into a coordinated army (as evidenced by their numerous raids and the attempt to reinforce their positions at the Capitol which led to the attack on Galaxy News Radio), procure large amounts of advanced weapons, ammunition, and equipment, and even maintain the biomedical infrastructure necessary to infect humans with the FEV and increase the numbers of super mutants in the region.

In the urban ruins of Washington, the super mutants are looking for more sources of F.E.V and more humans to expand their own numbers as they seek to take over the entire Capital Wasteland. So ther you have it

Then why call it Fallout? I mean seriously, if they would make a sequel that would break ALL canon, why not just make a new series?

I was thinking of Japan. The story would take place as most of America is becoming a country once again and people are sent out by the government to search for other life. You are sent to Japan. Now, there could be some crazy plot where the US Gov sent a guy with you who you became friends with but he's really finding a way to wipe the Japanese out or enslave them, but that isn't what I'm focusing on.

In Japan, everybody would have went into Vaults. Not those cramped, dark, and dank Vaults in America, no sir! Huge, shiny white vaults. Great technology and huge corridors await. For my main inspiration of this idea, see the third Pendragon book. There would be large shopping areas filled with people who are actually happy with large lakes several floors down.

On the surface, people who came up around 400 years ago have started a traditional Japanese society with a very similar government. In order to better show the Sensei combat, since you could have a lot of focus with their weaponry, a revamped melee system would be included.

like i said before a canon fallout that links to the rest of the story and a long quest-line to fix a plane like the boomers did and travel around the world to rebuild or Destroy the struggling civilizations.Finding different political figures ( robots , ghouls , or people frozen in stasis ) to rebuild a country that wasn't hit that bad by the bombs where the survivors of the world can travel to to live a better life than out in the wastes and then have quests where you help the Waste scientists find a way to stop mutations and find a cure for necrosis ( what ghouls have that makes them crusty skinned freaks )and ultimately rebuild the world to former glory ( or a close replica )

I never said it had to break everything canonically, but being canon isn't the bible.
Not everything needs to be linked, otherwise they'll never make anything original.

"Who gives a fuck"

It definitely sounded like you were saying that you didn't care about the lore and canon.

Being set in London would mean it would have very little, if anything to do with every game before it except for the fact that it is post-apocalyptic.

Plus if no mention is made to the Resource Wars then it might as well be a completely different universe, not to mention it would still need to have the 1940/50's retro-futuristic feel to it.

During the Resource Wars pretty much all of Europe was obliterated and very little survived, England is much smaller than America which means it would be much easier to destroy with nukes.

Honestly, have it take place in China, let's see how things on the flip side of the coin turned out.

As for those wanting to keep it in America, I have to ask, WHY? I mean, wouldn't a Nuclear Holocaust effect every country in the world? So why is it every post apocalyptic movie and video game after Mad Max (the only good one I've seen, and it takes place in Australia) has had to take place in America?

scnj said:
I think going outside the US removes what Fallout is about, which is spoofing America's positive 50s atitude by dropping bombs on it. Taking out that American aesthetic would take the series away from its original purpose.
So it'll be about spoofing China's fake positive 50s attitude instead, which has a lot more irony to it considering what was really going on in China in the 50s...0o

Fallout 4, based in Australia, 50-100 years after New Vages, the NCR have taken over the whole world (Almost) since they have teamed up with the Lone Wanderer (With the brotherhood of D.C) and The courier (With the NCR).

Im serious about this, It could be a story about a young Brotherhood of steel paladin (from D.C) vistiting it in a (blown up) vertibird to see if Australia got hit or not, and they did but less then the US, BUT the Enclave are their and have taken over, it seems they have been incharge ever since 2007 (Who knew?) and they have control over Australia but their are other factions too (Like NCR, Legion, Exiled Brotherhood, and etc) they are fighting over Australia and their are MUTANTS, big giant mutants (well whatever), also the mutant virus comes back with the lone wonderer.

Sounds awesome, plus cars and vertibirds are finaly flyable!
