That is not racist at all. He obviously wasn't making fun of Nigeria, he's making fun of internet scams. If anything, the internet scams are racist... it's sad that I have to point that out.
This. People can't be so hyper sensitive. Not everything is about whether you're black, white, yellow, or red.

Ooooh you're so cute when you try to be witty ^_^ But let's go over this again. You say that Sony doesn't admit when they are wrong. Guess what buddy, NO company in the entire world ADMITS that that are wrong. Its a common business practice. Even Monsanto, who has paid BILLIONS in damages to people, animals, and ecosystems, never ADMIT to doing wrong. EVER.
Yeah...thing about that is that Ford issued, via TV commercials even, apologies for the tire controversy back in the early part of this decade. So yes, corporations do admit when they're wrong. And I could even cite specific examples of other moments in crisis management when companies have had to own up to mistakes but I am done with this. I am taking things far too off topic.

The commercial didn't seem that offensive. It just made a small joke about scam artists. But if it means that much for them, Sony should just apoligize and end this.

Government officials no doubt realize it would be a PR coup to have a gigantic multinational like Sony publicly state that not everyone from Nigeria is out to swipe your hard-earned cash...
*GASP* And then tourism in Nigeria would skyrocket!!

Sony seems so constricted by everyone's(sometimes just sometimes unjust)complaints that they never have the opportunity to mellow themselves out. I think they just tried to shed their expensive image with this ad aswell as presenting themselves as a mellow company.
Its a bit too late for Sony to try and make themselves presentable don't you think? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/94287-A-Look-Back-at-Sonys-Bizarre-PS3-Advertising]

I still love the old PSone and PS2 commercials. But I don't know what the hell they were thinking with those PS3 launch ads.

So Nigeria does nothing to stop these scams or the bribery of officials that allow these things to continue and are upset that a company called a spade a spade?

Nigeria is a corrupt Country, always has been. I am still appauled about the killings of all the white owners that lost their lands there.

I guess that government official can take his brand new BMW to see someone who cares.

Dear Nigeria, we are sorry that your shit country is full of corrupt government and scammers looking to steal from innocent people.

This.

And they're not making fun of Nigeria, it's just the writer of this ad opened his emails in the morning of the script writing and saw half of them were offering him to be a Nigerian millionaire! and instead of ordering for an apology they should be getting rid of these people!

It seems Sony manages to annoy quite a few people. For example the Church of England demanded that Sony pull Resistence:Fall of Man off the shelves because they had used Manchester Cathedral without permission. http://www.pcw.co.uk/personal-computer-world/news/2191783/sony-game-upsets-church

And also at a party promoting the release of God of War 2, they got into a spot of bother when a headless goat was the centrepiece. http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-9714156-7.html

So this seems on par for Sony's metaphysical golf course. But still I think Nigeria, and everyone that they have 'offended' should take a chill pill. By that I mean clam down and not start seeing pink elephants.

I cannot seem to find that commercial. If you can point me to it please do. But regardless, you ignored everything else for some reason. I don't expect you to admit you are wrong but please, in the future, stop rushing into every Sony thread and flaming it like a California wildfire.

Pfft. Nigeria has to complain about a small thing in a commercial that I rarely see on TV? Come on now. It's just a vague joke nobody should ever take offense to. Hell, when I think of banking scams, I think of someone in Iraq. Are they gonna want me to apologize?
i think about credit cards...

Why should they check their speech?
In Fallout 3, when you talk to certain people, you will have the option to persuade them to agree with you, give you items, give you information, etc. The higher your Speech skill is, the higher your chances of a successful persuasion. This is called a "speech check".

Dear Nigeria.

We're sorry that you were offended by a minor joke involving a problem you can't even deal with in your OWN country. We also apreciate the fact that bugging us about nothing is worth far more then saving nigerian lives.

Sincerely Sony.

p.s. Stop spamming me, and if it's not spam then all 400 of your prince children are trying to overthrow you and are trying to rob your country blind.

My only problem with this video is how that guy speaks out of the extreme right side of his own face when he says, "$299"

I saw that Ad on television, I thought it was absolutely hilarious. Nigerian government may be overreacting a tad.

I don´t think this is a direct attack at Nigeria but all scammers. He just says "Nigerian" because they are the most known scammers.
